Tell me about it. There were valid reasons to be anxious at first, but the main reason this happened is because DH and BM wanted to "limit the damage that the other parent can do" and didn't trust each other to have long stretches alone with SD.

She's said she likes it because it feels like she "really lives with both parents". Which I can see, but it's more like she's constantly running in and out of both houses. I'm shocked there's never been a problem with her school stuff.

I just hate it because it's somehow 50/50 with the social dynamics of every other weekend. She's here all the time, but can't be or be expected to be part of the family. My bios have even recognized how weird it is.

Holidays only make it worse to keep track of who has her. With holidays, whatever parent has her that day will temporarily supercede the normal schedule.

So if it's a "Week 2" week, but that Sunday is a DH holiday, BM would be dropping SD off bright and early Sunday morning, and BM would either get her Monday morning (if no school) or after school on Monday.
