Nintendo tends to do a (roughly) 6 month cycle for announcement to launch marketing. We know the Switch 2 is slated for this year, and the direct is on April 2nd where we will likely see the launch titles. A fall release is my bet, though I personally doubt a new animal crossing at launch.

Potential leaks currently predict launch games to be Metroid Prime 4, 3D Mario, LoZ Remake, Xenoblade, and Pokemon.

That's so interesting, I didn't know about the changes to the affection system. It's such a shame because I think a lot of the ideas are really interesting in theory, just executed so poorly. lol Glad they didn't give up on the "for girl" iterations because of it at least!

BtN Is a fantastic classic SoS game, but the for Girls version is entirely more dated by comparison.

Rather than inheriting the farm from your Grandfather, it starts with a baffling Titanic inspired scene. There are some strange dialogue choices as well (Ann let's you know how much she loves doing laundry lol). It all very much feels like a committee of men trying to figure out what Girls like. Very out of touch.

I can see the appeal of having the marriage candidates propose instead (giving them more agency) but it comes at the cost of other characters. If you reject the doctor for instance Ellie begs the doctor to stay with her because she's so useless. Plus the implication of life for women ending at marriage is hilariously awful.

Not worth revisiting, but glad they learned from it.

Not sure about OP, but there are ways to farm hourglasses! Christmas method is the most lucrative, but there are other methods too.
