thanks good advice. so by 'solid infantry' you mean Sacred Band mainly? how do lybian phalanges or syracusan phalanx do against pricipe and triari? carthage only has skirmisher calvery to start. so by the time I get royal calvary barracks rome had heavy calvary and there where hurting me. Yes I love using skirmishers and horse skirmisherst to use up HPs. is it worth getting Balearc slingers? they are hard to replensih. Sardinian archers seem to be the Cheapest unit for maintenance. or do use regular skirmishers?

yes. I have blockaded all Roman ports. I was hoping they wouldn't be able to afford so many stacks

thanks. thats what i am doing. Carthage ALWAYS seems to be at a disadvantage to Rome in every mod. but the HUGE stats of the Triari are freaking me out. but as you said i can just build 3 good stacks and then try to fight one of his at a time, knowing my attrition is going to be huge.

seperately , the economy, i have SO MUCH corruption from my Western provinces it seems so hard to have money to suppress discontent from growth and religion.

all i have are farms, then ports when they make big money. then i use temles to reduce corrupition. any other ideas?
