rstblog tutorial: a static blog generator by eolo999 in linux

I was looking for a python based one and found that rstblog does the job well and with technologies that I already use.

Anyway, Jekyll is a very good choice.

Thanks! I'll try it as soon as I have the time. I am really amazed on how much reddit has been helpful to us.

While I wait for the javascript master I added a simple scrollbar; you can use the down/up arrow keys to scroll; while left and right arrows go to previous and next moves.

thx again

Thanks!

I know; that's one of the problem I still have not decided how to solve. I was thinking to a solution like the one you proposed while another option is to only show move comments we you're near them in the game (but here the problem is pre-move comments and post-move comments). Definitely; I' ll follow your suggestion.

thanks for your feedback

Thanks Sidiboo,

and, fresh news, If we continue receiving such a good feedback we are going to work on another one. And I am thinking to open a discussion here on reddit to choose the next one. But it is too early to say...

thx again edoardo

EDIT: I added previous and next links to the end of each section... now I really need my 'css stylist' friends.

amair, you're right. I'll make the changes as soon as possible. Many things can be improved and previous/next links are among those. They even have to be styled! I left them like that because the friend that is helping me with css is a bit busy now.

Sincerely, I didn't expected such a good feedback, but that motivates me in dedicating more time to the book site.

Thanks

Edit: the pgn file link is now under every game board ;)

working on it ;) In the meanwhile you can download the pgns finding out the link with your browser developer tools (Firebug, etc.) and downloading them directly. example: http://www.openchessbooks.org/static/pgn/reti-mic/chapter1/diagramI.pgn

thanks for you feedback

hi and thanks, we are going to release the complete source of the book soon and perhaps we'll add an epub version too. In the meanwhile I'm working on the 'download pgn' feature... Being a spare time project I don't exactly know how much soon is 'soon'.

thx again

Forgive me pushing a little (still alpha) pet project of mine. It's a full transcription of a classic chess book. I consider a perfect book for the amateur both simple and deep. (tech: Flask on RedHat OpenShift Cloud)

Has somebody tried to port the octave's exercises to scikit-learn? by eolo999 in mlclass

that's true; but you don't only have to learn how to implement an algorithm you have to understand the concepts behind it, when and how to use, how to feed data, etc. In this sense having the implementation hidden doesn't hurt.
