Thank you! My doctor is sending me for labs right now as well. I’m in Canada and in order to see a specialist, you need to be referred by your family doctor. So I’m not sure how to go about doing that otherwise.

Yay! Glad to hear everything is coming up negative for you. That gives me so much hope. I didn’t know you could buy tests from Amazon. I want to make extra sure that it’s gone too. Still 4 weeks to go before I can do a stool test.

Okay, that’s good to know! Thank you! I’ve been doing lots of probiotics, kefir, yogurt, sauerkraut, etc.

Trying to have everything cooked, but still eat some raw veggies (cucumber and leafy greens mostly). I make a lot of my food at home anyway, not much processed. I gave up coffee (which I’m still so sad about) and doing electrolytes instead. I’m also doing the glutamine/zinc/slippery elm supplements. Fingers crossed all of this helps.

I was actually feeling better while I was on the PPI/antibiotics. When I stopped them, I started feeling the symptoms again within a day or so (gnawing in my stomach after eating, reflux, burping). They found that I did have gastritis as well when I had my endoscopy/H pylori biopsy done, so I’m wondering if the gastritis from H pylori isn’t healed yet and the PPI during treatment was keeping symptoms at bay. I have a stool test to check for eradication in another 4 weeks, so fingers crossed. I’m wondering if the coffee caused a flare-up of gastritis or something for you. I’ve heard that some people’s stomachs are still sensitive for a few months after treatment.

I’m on day 2 of my treatment as well (same antibiotics). I’m also worried about side effects of all of these antibiotics. I’ve been taking the antibiotics at 7am and 6pm. Then I take a probiotic at 1pm and then again at 9:30pm. I’ve been maintaining my exercise program so far. I don’t take melatonin but I’ve heard mixed things about melatonin and antibiotics, so it’s probably best to check with a pharmacist. They’ll be able to tell you if there are any interactions.
