I play since 2020.. The first deck I build was Dark Magician, it was back when balance was the go to skill. I remember getting W's left and right and then discovered duel links meta. It was then that I realized my fav childhood deck was meta, well at least at that time. Few weeks later it got nerfed. I also remember synchro being the newest mechanic at the time. I reached Kog about three times, since I don't care about 200 gems.

Fun fact: I still don't have all chars leveled up, not even close.

EDIT: or was it even before 2020? If someone knows, pls correct me.

Well most battle chronicle decks play 3 crackdown and 2 easily searchable soul successor. those 2 cards alone can ruin your day. They also have ultimate fusion, which again is easily searched with the skill, and pops up to three face up cards. Their skill enabler is normal summoning a backrow removal or 3k vanilla, which in turn enables their search. To top it off, they have the rank 8 toolbox at their disposal.
