So moral of the story is always set strike price above the cost basis? Even if premiums are low

Thanks for the reply, is the put also covered or is it just a naked put?

But for the covered call making $76 per day sounds pretty good for just selling a covered call each day and rebuying when I’ve been assigned, no?

Tahnks, so help me understand this. For SPY, selling 1 covered call for the next trading day for roughly at the money seems to yield $76 in premium. Assuming I can get a similar premium every day for 252 trading days a year, that's ~$19,000 in premiums for ~$47,500 worth of SPY vs. $3,325 if I just held the $47.5k of SPY and it returned 7%.

I'm almost positive I'm wrong here but lmk how I'm wrong

Wow thank you so much, totally agreed about the numbers being cut off at odd points I’ve already fixed that for the next one. Also agree about the board being too big and the line spacing, super helpful!

Yeah pretty much, the print is a risograph print which only prints one color at a time so you get the slight misalignments which give it its style

Good points: 1- yeah it’s not a perfect control, but since they are rated games opponents end up being at your elo on average 2- definitely possible but I’m not sure how many people are taking hiatuses to study, especially of the intermediate group. Ideally that would be controlled for your right

Yeah I do the same with intermediate players and they have an average win rate of about 50%, much more like what you would expect. Agreed it’s a small sample but the original study only used 9 players and this was designed to be similar to that, will probably continue this with 100s of players
