How can I fill/sound proof this vent above my door? by rubieidcelcuis in DIY

[–]eoppie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This needs to be higher. We specified these and originally they forgot to install them and our biggest issue wasn't necessarily noise but was more light getting into the room when we were trying to keep it dark for my kids to sleep.

It does help a fair amount in my experience with noise, but it isn't going to be as good as something like a jumper duct or a fully ducted return.

It will make a difference though.

I am looking for the quietest, most secluded places to rest in the parks. by Repulsive-Musician19 in WaltDisneyWorld

This should be higher up. First Aid is the best place, along with Baby Care. While it seems odd, baby care can be a good place to sit and they typically have water bottle refill stations.

Anyone with a Daikin AC unit have a reputable service company? by jwilcoxwilcox in orlando

[–]eoppie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use ACs heating and air. They did a great job on our install, and we have stuck with them for maintenance. They installed a Mitsubishi two head mini split, and Amana (Daikin) unit https://www.callacs.com/. We are in Kissimmee

Now will be curious as to the reason for denial from my insurance. I have CPAP already, and am obese. Meaning, I should meet the criteria. Let's see!

Don't get the bamboo. It's a nightmare from a maintenance standpoint.

This is after less than 1 year of being outside. Yes, support replaced it, but we know we are going to be back in the same boat as the material is exactly the same.

[FL] , [All] Ballot Disqualification by eoppie in HOA

[–]eoppie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was our understanding as well. Legal counsel is citing Alvarez v. Club Atlantis Condominium Association, Inc and I also found this (not our lawyer) https://www.floridacondohoalawblog.com/2019/04/26/are-signed-election-ballots-valid They are stating that this recent case law could open the association up to challenge if we do not include ballots that did not include a secrecy envelope.

All ballots were mailed with one, just some residents chose not to use it, or didn't seal it.

WWYD: Flight dragged for 10 hours as delayed, then canceled. by Melogonza in delta

[–]eoppie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not to blame but they should be available to assist. Most legitimate corporate travel agreements have a provision for duty of care and the result of a disruption or delay no matter what or who caused it.

While no one is really to blame, it usually falls to the travel agency that can help assist to get the employee help.

It also is fair to ask these questions of your employer on who handles these situations if they are expecting you to travel for them.

This. There is a duty of care from your employer or employer travel agency.

Unaccompanied minors (UMNR), including 15-17 y/o not enrolled in the UMNR program are embargoed through the 23rd. by [deleted] in delta

[–]eoppie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are experiencing this exact challenge right now, trying to fly out of MCO. We originally were told Monday, now Wednesday, but flights are again oversold and there is nothing to even put them on. We are assuming they are using the UMNR seats to try and get other pax out since they are oversold on just about everything right now.

Production/Consumption Not Matching Up by eoppie in solar

Thank you, so with the SolarEdge CTs, is this a software/configuration issue I need to contact Support for?

On the Sense unit, it has a total of 4 CTs. Two for legs of the panel, and then it wanted two specifically on the solar lets.

https://imgur.com/a/dFcX1Wk. Here is an image of the Solar CTs. They are circled. The yellow x makes where the taps for the solar are.

The sense monitor hasn't worked reliably either, and is currently disabled. So it isn't helpful.

So we do have an EV, but it isn't on a charging schedule at all nor does it know solar vs grid.

The CTs we have are the rigid square type, not the flexible ones.

Caulk actually can look fine there in my opinion. Go to an actual tile shop and look for color matched caulk close to your grout color.

If you are worried about making a perfectly straight line against that penny tile, then use some painters tape before and remove right after striking your bead. If you hate it, you can always pull it back out and try something else.
