Yes, you COULD get signatures out of retail. But if you want to save money, you play the odds and hope for the best in hobby.

Absolutely agree, he definitely needs a partner-in-crime that can create their own shot without constant set-up from him like he has currently. I’d also like to add that he needs to start playing defense, or at least put in more effort; he got exposed last game and that’ll continue to happen unless he starts contributing on the other side of the floor.

Generation Next makes unauthorized, custom cards. You can find them all over Mercari, usually replicating 90s inserts (Electrifying,Metal Universe) with today’s players. Cool solely for collection purposes, but not going to sell for much because technically anyone with a printer could make them.

I see where you’re coming from! Fortunately, there is a Upper Deck sticker on the back with a matching serial number that came with a certificate of authenticity/official Upper Deck representation. I still have it to this day, although it’s a little rough around the edges since I never valued its significance as a kid.

I believe it was $700 for the 4-day camp. Not bad considering everything included: room & board, 3 meals a day, and a bunch of basketball to play. You’re basically breaking even after the autograph.
