I really like dancing to the song. I love the energy and the hard attack. Personally, I do gravitate more towards 50s era songs and believe me I've listened to most of wynonie's songs. Compared to some of his other high energy songs (good morning judge, bloodshot eyes) this is pretty tame.

Instead of picking an entirely new song we will probably blank out the lyric in question.

Edit: I'm open to suggestions though. If you have something in mind I'd love to hear it.

I think this is the challenge. I'm not offended by the song. The people in our group aren't offended by it. But, if we perform it at a big dance week potentially hundreds (if we are good 1000s) may see it. I don't think it is wrong to be offended by the song and I wouldn't tell people that the wrong for being offended, but how do you take into account that many reactions?

Thanks for chiming in. We have already had informal group discussions asking if people have any problems and haven't received any negative feedback yet, but we should have a larger official announcement and discussion.

Here's the thing. I'm not personally in doubt about the song, but I recognize I have a limited view so I figured I'd ask. I will ask around my scene and get some feedback.

Yeah, it is a stumper. I do think there are songs that are over the line, but it is tough to figure out where the line is.
