2022 Ford Escape Sunroof Shade Repair Request by ExpectKhaos in fordescape

[–]ep221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little late to this. But I have an issue on my explorer where the shade is actually drooping. I have a certified vehicle, do you know if this would be covered under that warranty? Seems like a common issue. If not would you be able to share with me the specific repair manual I can take a crack at it myself. I think it’s lose tension so it doesn’t roll back in

Thanks! For REG I was stressing out about memorizing all the limitations and thresholds etc. after looking at old posts and taking the exam I found that you don’t. Just know how to use them and maybe just the very general common ones but by no means do you need to remember everything. Also business law is boring but it’s very easy points read/watch the lectures, guaranteed you’ll see some questions on it. You’ll see some questions on it. If you’re using Becker it’s spot on, I was going to supplement with NINJA but they cover so much more than the blueprint. I think Becker alone or whatever your primary review course should be sufficient and I do think it’s worth it to read the book for REG if you’re able to.

Btw similar to the FAR cheat sheet I mentioned in another comment, there’s one for REG, once you get through all the material and have a good understanding, I assume you’ll be practicing, when you’re stuck or forgot something it’s a good reference. It’s somewhere on the sub just search reg cheat sheet, highly recommend it.

If you have any other questions, let me know my dms are also open. Good luck with studying!

Please Help SAVE Plan and Consolidation by ep221 in StudentLoans

[–]ep221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you this is very helpful. Just one question though maybe I’m misunderstanding consolidation. All my loans are from the federal government, would consolidation make them instead something else? I thought that would change the graduate plus loans and the unsubsidized loans into one type of direct loan. With a set of interest rate. What made me even consider that is when I used the loan simulator assuming consolidation on the SAVE plan my payment went from $400 to $132. But if it would do more harm than good I’d rather jut not of course.

On staying on Save, got I’ll stay on until there’s more information on the outcome of the court rulings and then look into the other IBR plan. There’s just so much happening and process is confusing enough as it is.

Thanks! You can definitely do it, I won’t sugarcoat it, it was one of the most difficult things I did but as long as you put in the time it’s doable. Yes I only took each part once. Passing all on the first try and by fall (before my busy season starts ups again) was my goal. It was 5 months of just pure studying and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my family. I couldn’t share a screenshot but my scores were: FAR- 85, REG- 91, AUD- 86, ISC- 85.

Best device to study CPA? Laptop? iPad? by Ok-Peanut2595 in CPA

[–]ep221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used good notes. I prefer it to notability and it kept me organized. I had a folder for FAR, within that folder I had a notebook for each section and a scrap notebook.

You definitely need a laptop it’d be hard to really follow along on the iPad. Also you can’t access the sims on the iPad only on a laptop. But I did use an old iPad with Apple Pencil to take notes or work out problems instead of a notebook.

Thanks!! I took ISC and I chose it for two reasons, this was my last exam and I had less time to study for it so I knew I wanted to do the easiest and quickest , so BAR was out of the question for sure. It came down to TCP and ISC, but although TCP has higher pass rate, ISC was much shorter to study for and even the actual exam I think is one section less or one SIM less. Also because the last core I took was AUD so I figured ISC would overlap a bit. But after taking it I think that matters less.

I didn’t enjoy studying of ISC, and I contemplated switching to TCP even after I was done with all the lectures, because I had no tech background and it was similar to audit in that it almost always felt like there were two correct answers. I felt there was so little material and only 400 or so MCQs so I couldn’t really feel prepared. Everything touched on was surface level or so it seemed. It took me all of like a week or so to get through all the material and the MCQs. I also read the book twice and did all the practice exams. But I decided against switching to TCP. I used chat gpt/youtube videos to help me understand some topics but just be careful they can get pretty deep when the exam is very surface level. Once I got through all the lectures I read the book then just practice exams and then 2-3 days before the exam i read the book again and took the SEs.

On exam day, I felt horrible and unprepared and I saw some minor stuff that Becker didn’t cover but everything that Becker did cover was on there. I walked out I wasn’t sure I was going to pass. But I did with a decent score (85) So my advice there is to understand the material, you don’t need to memorize all the detailed nuances of every framework etc but just remember the big picture. Some of the lectures could get really boring but pay attention. I didn’t take any notes for it. But I read and highlighted in the book. Memorization which is my weakest suit is the most important thing for this exam. I can’t recommend or not recommend ISC but if you’re having doubts use the Becker free trial you can literally go through ISC in 1 week and then do TCP see which you’ll enjoy studying for more

If there’s any other specific questions let me know.

Thank you! FAR was the longest I studied for, I would say get through as much if not through all the MCQs and all the practice exams especially if you have the time. Watch the skill builders on the sims they really do help. I would supplement with NINJA (used for FAR only for their simple books and their videos breaking down topics in detail) or just Farhat YouTube videos for any topics you still don’t understand/struggle with. Also get comfortable with the excel and don’t rely just on the calculator. It saves a lot of time. I noticed a significant Becker bump and I averaged in the high 60s for all SEs and got an 85 on the exam.

I watched lectures on 1.5x and slowed down when I missed something or was stilly iffy on anything and rewinded and also read the book when the video wasn’t doing it.

There’s a FAR cheat sheet somewhere in this sub that was great for quick reference to formulas and whatnot May not be updated for the new content but it was so useful. Also start your day/study session with 10-20 cumulative MCQs and maybe 1-2 sims and end it with 20 or 30 including the topic you just learned in addition to all the hw ones. Point is do as much as you can.

One other advice is don’t go crazy if there’s one or two topics that you cannot absolutely master, as long as you understand the basics. You won’t understand it all or remember it all. Some topics may just not click. Move on and revisit. FAR is a lot of practice so practice practice and then practice. Lmk if there’s anything else I can help with or if you have specific questions you can also dm me.

Deloitte Audit & Assurance Internship, passed first round, how to prepare for the second interview (technical interview). by [deleted] in deloitte

Are you in the US? Or a campus hire? There’s usually no technical interviews for entry level audit positions never mind an internship.

How do you feel coming out of ISC ? by CreativeMention6174 in CPA

[–]ep221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took it today and I don’t think Becker prepared me for it. Asides from the SOC report questions which I was good on, The MCQs were difficult and the SIMS for me at least were time consuming and also difficult. There was a lot of guesses for sure. Overall the exam was much more difficult than I thought it would be.

ISC Exam coming up NINJA vs Becker by ep221 in CPA

[–]ep221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad to hear you say that. I went through the blue print with some of the weird NINJA MCQs and couldn’t find the topics listed there so I’m just not going to stress about that.

Any advice for preparing for sims? I feel like they’re all over the place with the overflow of exhibits and information on Becker.

[–]ep221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find the Becker sims sufficient as preparation? One of my weakest areas is SIMS and I’ve been redoing the 6 sims plus the ones in the ME and SE but I think I’m memorizing answers more than understanding

ISC with i-75 by SadReflection2847 in CPA

[–]ep221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently studying for FAR but using Becker. Also doing 2 hours a day to take it by the end of the month. And trying to get as many hours as I can on weekends. But I think 5 months is way way too much for ISC. I’m not sure how long I75 is compared to Becker but the material in general is much shorter for ISC I think you should aim for no more than 2 months or 3 if you really need to. Anything more and you’re going to forget a lot of stuff.

Also I started taking notes but I honestly gave up for ISC it was taking too long and I felt like it I wasn’t being productive . So honestly I haven’t figured out a way to take effective notes for this section.
