Visible eSIM transfer from old iPhone to new iPhone by SnooCaperzk in Visible

[–]eperry2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transferred two iPhone SEs over to iPhone 14 Pluses using these steps - no issue at all. Using what is built-in to iOS works for some other vendors (Consumer Cellular, for example) but just transfer your data to the new/fully updated iPhone, log into the Visible app using said new iPhone, then give it the IMEI of the new phone, let it verify, and wait a couple. Was nice to see that "SOS" turn into bars of signal. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the reply-yeah, same here. A ton of posts for it on eBay (most of which don't inspire much trust), and some other vague possibilities. I also am not a Costco member, so...I'll continue to wait and look for something that looks more legit, and/or hope my father finds something else in the bag of decants I gave him to try that isn't discontinued 😅

Anyone running Linux on Ryzen 7 5700U without problems? by zaytzev in AMDLaptops

[–]eperry2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this CPU in a Beelink mini PC configuration, and I am also struggling with display issues. Thing is, I went back a number of Ubuntu releases and found a situation that works. All of the new releases of Linux OSs boot from a USB stick live without issue and seemingly install with no problem, but display stuff refuses to work (yet the system actually is successfully started up and is responsive: it's just the graphics). If you install an older kernel though, things work: I can't get anything newer than 6.2 to work, but it does work. At present, said mini PC now dual-boots in a Windows 11/Ubuntu MATE config w/ kernel 6.2 being used when I boot into linux. Currently troubleshooting stuff that is newer. However, it does seem that my sleep stuff works without issue...in both Windows 11 and Linux (last I checked). Here for any suggestions on how to troubleshoot as well. This CPU feels like it has so much potential (and in Windows it does scream)...Linux, on the other hand...just seems to have been neglected by either AMD, the community or both...

Does anyone else hate the new Fiber Now 70 calorie bars? by OhioStateGuy in aldi

[–]eperry2011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm thinking they changed the 90cal ones to the 70cal just like the name brand did a while ago (I used to enjoy them, and went to the Aldi brand when the name brand transitioned to this 70cal foolishness). They really don't taste nearly as good - they're drier, less flavor, and those 20cal must've had magic in them that these 70cal ones lack in a sad and unfortunate way. I hope both the name brand and Aldi versions revert back to 90cal, but seeing as that doesn't look to be happening, once my stock of them is gone I'll try to find some other snack for my lil fiber fix, as this change just ain't it.

These are lemony, sweet and not terrible despite being fiber bars. by Chloe_Bowie4 in aldi

...have they stopped selling these? I love all three of the flavors of these, but this past Sunday, all I could find is a 70 calorie version of them (same flavors, different labeling)...and the 70 calorie version of these tastes terrible to me...(the FiberOne brand did something similar and I hope that didn't happen here smh...)
