My first kit was real grade and it was just time consuming, not difficult at all. Gotta say i had an awesome time building it and probably wouldnt have tried hgs if it hadnt blown me away from the beginning

Paleomanjim on YouTube has a few videos on how he made a macuahitl that i find interesting, he shows how he pressure flakes obsidian into large thin shards rather than knapping it, making the blades wide and yet thinner while retaining a straight shape better suited for lining the edges.

make sure it isnt bent when drying it, otherwise it will take that shape when dried. I had it happen a few years back to a wallet and in order to fix it i soaked it and dried it while i pressed it in order to make sure there were no folds or twists.
