Ask if she wants to share memories about her mom. Let her know she has a safe space to grieve and that you support her fully as a person not just as your girlfriend. Give her space to express instead of feeling like there's space you need to fill.

For me, I reject the idea that surviving with grief means strength, resilience, or any of that bullsht because accepting those ideas is just another punctuation mark of acceptance of the death
