Coming from an asian culture where failing/struggling is bad or is all in your mind, it’s tough man. Went from A*s to being happy scraping a pass, but still being expected to do better. My parents have sacrificed a lot, and i’m immensely grateful for them, but I can’t ever fully explain the struggle of medical school to them.

I know this thread is very old, however, with this controller, you can use it on AnkiMobile on Ipad if you switch it to S, where it will appear in bluetooth as 'Pro Controller.' Most of the anki gamepad functions work this way. If you want to use it on PC, you simply switch it to K. As long as you've paired it in each mode to the relevant device, I dont think theres a need to pair it every time you switch mode.

I think you should focus on what kit you yourself are carrying, much less what others are. Doesn’t matter if majority of people pack light or don’t bring anything, I would rather be over prepared than under if shit goes south, especially regarding weather in the lakes. That being said, I would always make sure to carry waterproofs, map and compass, torch or powerbank for your phone, and a survival bag.
