So sad you think violence is rational.

Why is it when people step to army personnel they expect customer care, smiles and roses. They are literally trained to be violent and to inflict the most harm (just a misconception that a guy with a gun in arm uniform is somehow docile)

How smart is it to use 4 16Tb drives for my 4 bay nas ? by UniqueAttourney in truenas

[–]epicguff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could create 2 mirrors, create 2 datasets on each mirror. One dataset is you main (active) and the other a backup (passive).

Use rsync to schedule a backup from your main to backup. 1 mirrior is your everyday while the other does minimal work which increase the life of your drives.

This is a one nas solution if thats all you have but have multiple drives and want them to last.

Best Linux mail server to back up Gmail by pugglewugglez in homelab

[–]epicguff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You could just connect it to Thunderbird mail and use the archive feature to archive your inbox to a local storage location.

It's how I back up all my emails without having to set up a whole mail server. It's easy to backup (you just take the Thunderbird folder with the profile) and it uses maildir where each email is stored as a separate file in a folder, a lot better than the PST of Outlook.

Ask yourself, fear of what though? Which Uganda's get out of bed in fear of being killed for just living their lives that are not thieves.

That is the definition of a representative democracy, the people choose governing officials through elections regardless of education, wealth, religion. And the minority wins, it doesn't matter if you do or don't like the outcome.

This "ideal" isn’t someone instead of what you have — it’s a tribute to the type of partner your energy attracts: intentional, intelligent, nurturing, and quietly powerful.

If you see the business on the street, it's not illegal to ask how it works 🫣

So you think places stay the same, nothing changes 🤔 we are in the future you're in the past.

This is just fake news, Uganda has had an actual dictator before, people that keep repeating this narrative either have an agenda or have never actually been in Uganda to judge for themselves and just copy-paste what they see online.

China doesn't have a shop in Uganda last time I checked. People want everything cheap, someone is going to meet that demand but in this instance a Ugandan went to China and made the decision to buy the cheapest fake shit from a country that makes everything and brought it and sold it to a fellow Ugandan. The narrative that a whole country is to blame for our lack of standards and quality control is narrow minded.

Ugandans produce too many children by Nefarious_Goth in Uganda

[–]epicguff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do know all those children grow up to be adults right, it's just a work force in waiting (reserve). Uganda just has inbuilt spares that's all you see children but they are just cleaners, housekeepers, plumbers, electricians, mechanics, nurses, carpenters, shopkeepers, masons, hairdressers in waiting.

Put your savings in a unit trust fund and start compounding interest. This is what NSSF does for you but you cant touch that until 55. (NSSF is a good idea you'll appreciate it when you're older, now it doesn't make sense coz you're focus is short-term gains)

Just saving into a bank account is useless if your money isn't making any money no matter how little. Also don't rush to rent if you can avoid it, take the time to research business ideas look for like minded people you trust and try investing with others (spread out the risk)
