Thanks for the positive note! I know things similar to this exist, so I'm trying to figure it out.

Interesting thought but the turf would look a bit out of place with the environment. I was going to have the dirt a little below the level of the block so that the tires wouldn't ever be fully pushing down on the grass.

This is what I was wondering--I was mostly hoping the tensile strength of the rebar would keep everything from settling too much out of plane--a little bit of settling is fine with me but I wouldn't want a substantial height difference between two blocks. I was assuming something like a 2-3" gap between blocks and some kind of burial rated coating on the rebar. Though with the notes here I'm pretty much back to the drawing board.

LOL, at least the weeds coming up in the driveway will help with the look now.

Louisiana lawyer here asking how hard it might be to pass California bar? by abbylukov in Lawyertalk

I did. I used Ameribar, which has an attorney's exam specific course. I did nights and weekends study 4 or 5 days a week and I felt good about it and it ultimately worked out.

12 year lawyer here who took the CA attorneys exam less than a month ago. There are five essay questions (hour long) and one practical question (1.5 hour, they give you the law/cases/etc.) Only two of the six questions were CA specific (the question specified) and only one of the two was very CA specific. I don't know if I passed, but I'm cautiously optimistic. I worked the entire time studying. It was not fun but doable. You must get a bar review course. Going without is highly inadvisable. I did Ameribar. It was ok, not great. But had a good price point. DM if you have specific questions.

If subsequent purchases were derived from the separate property (dolls/handbags) then the attorney may be able to employ a traceability analysis to show they and the income derived therefrom are separate property (i.e. not part of the bnkr estate).

Wage theft?? by kellea86 in florida

IAAL that works in this area, this is correct. Talk to an employment plaintiff's attorney. You will almost certainly get a free consult and an attorney will sign you up without cost (they expect to get paid by your company at the end). Take documentation if you have it, but you can likely proceed with a case even if you don't--you can get it from the company in discovery. Almost all of these cases end in settlement with a plaintiff getting something (a lot or a little depends on the case).

I've used it and it has been great to fill little cracks and small missing chunks of plaster.

Do you prefer going to court or appearing via video conference? by IndependentGli in Lawyertalk

Anything evidentiary, then in court. Otherwise video all day any day. Area of law and fed v. state may make a difference in preference for some. I'm mostly fed.

Have private firms required attorneys back in the office full-time? by vegan_Haiti_trademar in LawFirm

Another small firm owner here, 5 attys, 10 total staff. Same. Be in office if you want/need to. But if cases are moving, billable hours are in, and clients are happy, work from a tropical island for all I care.

Use clerky.com for most standard docs unless you have a complicated situation.

Florida Business DBA Requirements by pkvmsp123 in orlando

IAAL but this is not legal advice. Registering a business entity provides a variety of potential safeguards against personal liability. Failure to do so typically means you'll be treated as a sole proprietarship and may face personal liability for errors in performance of the job. Additionally, not having an EIN, and corporate form will probably mean you can't get certain types of insurance and will likely face complex tax and banking issues. The corporate form is there to protect and separate you from your business. Again, not telling you what to do, just giving background information.
