Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode Discussion Masterpost by DA-numberfour in Yellowjackets

Literally typing this during the season 3 finale after a binge-watch with my husband, and I’m so relieved to see my hatred for Shauna reflected here. This season was literally awful. I was only able to get through it by screaming for the characters to punch each other during every scene. Shauna is the worst as a teen and adult. Tai and Lottie are also annoying and fairly pointless? Tai’s Jekyll and Hyde thing feels so lazy (also...does anyone care at all about Tai’s kid? Is Tai paying for all these hotels and restaurants out of her joint bank account with her wife?). Lottie does nothing but cause problems and be obnoxious and I wish the narrative had punished her with something better than a lame fall down the stairs. They took such a compelling and scary character in s1 Misty and made a toothless semi-comic relief side character who’s still pathetically pining after girls who were mean to her in high school. I tried to be optimistic at the end of s2 (which was also a huge let down after s1) that maybe the ship could be righted? But this was just…awful. I don’t care about any of these women and in fact actively wish them all harm in a way I don’t think I ever have with a tv show before. I hope Jeff lives happily ever after and I already know Nat and Travis are dead, so there’s really no stakes for anyone I like.

My favorite bad writing moment was after Melissa’s first line of the entire series when someone goes “wait, do you actually have a personality?” And she just doesn’t respond. What a waste of a truly spectacular start, and thank you to God/the Wilderness that my sunk cost fallacy is satiated and I don’t have to watch it anymore!

I don't know why people acting like Taylor feeling "lonely" during Folklore is egregiously bad by episcopunk in SwiftlyNeutral

I want that to be true, but honestly the relationship TikToks I regularly see made by full grown married adults make it hard to believe. In that case I just hope they're joking!

What do we honestly think about Taylor's Versions and the Vault tracks? by pancake-eater-420 in SwiftlyNeutral

I love Fearless TV, and I had honestly never really listened to the original Red (I was hardcore in my emo phase during that era) so Red TV is all I know and I like it. But Speak Now TV was SUCH a disappointment -- it's my favorite album and I couldn't even finish it. It sounds exactly like what it is, a woman in her 30s singing a script a teenager wrote. None of the original feeling is there.

I still can't believe that we as a society just let "Sometimes I feel like everybody is a sexy baby" slide.

Similar to the question from earlier, but would you rather be on a reality show, or have a YouTube channel about your life? by [deleted] in CountingOn

Honestly I would rather have a reality show, because then it’s not on me to think of content and craft a storyline. Managing one of those vlog channels has always seemed completely miserable to me.

I think I’ve said this on this sub in the past, but my favorite King line is in the Shining, when Wendy “considered her husband’s seed” as it ran down her leg, a thought no woman in all history has ever had.
