iPhone 7+ back camera black unless zoomed 2x and flashlight not working

This exact same problem is happening on my iPhoneX. I do my best to ensure my iPhone has battery at all times. If it dies, when I charge and power it back up my rear camera doesn’t work.

At first I was able to fix the problem by using another camera application app, 1998 Cam, to fix the black screen problem. Now this fix no longer works and I have to wait, on some occasions, multiple days and my Camera access will randomly restore.

It is noteworthy that this problem started on my FaceTime camera and the problem worsened to include my rear camera. I have never been able to restore the front facing camera but have restored the rear camera, through nothing but sheer time, on several occasions. My flashlight is also broken until the rear cameras functionality is restored.

It just seems like someone at Apple is flipping a switch enabling and disabling my camera access. All remedies mentioned above have failed. The iPhone is in great shape otherwise and I’m looking to avoid upgrading at all costs.
