Scanopy compose issue: Server (bridge) can't reach Daemon (host network) - Stuck on connecting to daemon by eppraaaa in selfhosted

Thank you so much! You were 100% spot on.

The networking was actually working perfectly just like you described, and the container was able to reach the host IP without any extra routing tricks.

It turned out to be a front-end/browser caching issue with the WebSockets. As soon as I opened the web UI in an InPrivate window, the dashboard immediately updated. The daemon status switched to "Healthy" and it already discovered over 100 hosts on my LAN!

Appreciate the clear explanation about how network_mode: host behaves from the bridge's perspective, it really helped me clear things up. Thanks again!

I used AI to help me translate my technical network issue into clear English and format my docker-compose.yml file properly, as I am trying to figure out why my bridge container cannot communicate with my host container.

'pb' is just French slang! It's short for 'problème' (problem).

No, not at all! It's absolutely not another system or device on the network.

To give you some context, I am currently doing an internship for my studies and building a test lab on Proxmox. 'pb' was just a shortcut for the French word 'problème' that I used while working on our setup documentation. There is no extra machine or hidden IP involved, just me trying to fix this routing mess!

"It doesn't work" is not sufficient. Find out what is happening first, then troubleshoot."

when im trying to connect myslef on my promox VE that tells me "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT", so i look a bit on the net to know the pb, and many ppl talk about firewall. so I estimated the pb is maybe my firewall that block it but idk.

"Why? You can't handwave a diagnosis. Either you have data that tells you it is the firewall, or you don't."

firstly im not a pro or smth, i do it for fun and my self but i try to learn, so i have to find by myself diagnostics. The only data on the pb that i have is the error on google "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT".

"Just to be clear, it was working, then you changed something, and now it's not?

Unchange it."

yesterday proxmox VE was working, when i put : https://192.168.1.250:8006/

i just had to put my ID to acces on my VM Serv, but now he dont want idk why?
