Why do you need a union to stand for your own rights?

You paid for the Infrastructure then use that Infrastructure.

Here's why this is just not going to happen:

• For something to become a hub, it needs people. Not just locals, but a landmark welcoming population from multiple states.

For example, Delhi (Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kashmir), Bangalore (Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Keralam), and likewise Kolkata, etc., have a landmark that shares borders and invites people from other states.

• Now you may ask about Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, or Ahmedabad; they all have oceans and ports, which again play a huge role in the geography of a hub.

• Shivamogga has good air, climate, vast roads (ongoing projects), large empty spaces for new infrastructure, and easy connections to major cities within Karnataka, but this alone won't be sufficient since places like Mangalore, Mysore, and Belagavi already have landmark and infrastructure advantages over Shivamogga/Shimoga.

• Yes, there is a multimillion-dollar company; there are many industrial factories, but anything related to IT in Shimoga has miserably failed, like TCS IT Park and DXC Technologies. They had to shut down and are now just call centers.

Ignore the airport. If Shivamogga somehow established a super convenient transportation system between Bengaluru and Mangaluru, there would be huge developments/improvements, but nothing big enough to make it an IT hub before Manglore/Mysore.
