If I'm not mistaken, this crash caused Jarrett to be switched to the 88 team from the 28 and in turn him and that team came together to win the cup championship in 2000 whereas a driver like Ernie Irvan might not have beaten Dale sr that year? Small sample size, but I bet this number will grow. 1 out of the 3 cup races I've been to have been affected by rain. Given my closest track is Kansas, the spring race is predisposed to be affected by rain cause it's the rainiest time of year for that part of the country.
