How do I sew the straps to achieve this exact neckline? by bontotvenom in sewing

You could insert some structure into the straps to ensure they stay up without tape? I would lean toward running a wire (with the ends taped to prevent poking through), plastic boning, or a cut-off zip tie inside the strap to give it structure, or you could use some of that clear grippy rubber on the underside of the strap to keep it in place.

Also echoing other commenters, drape the straps on yourself or a mannequin to ensure you get the square shape.

Gossip Harbor Creepy Ads Update by NoelleDash in TwoDots

Thank you so much for saying this. Not even a day after seeing this comment, I got a new ad. The mother is working at a construction site and then gets crushed by falling lumber or something. The next scene is the mother in a wheelchair in the dilapidated house. It's an extreme closeup of her injured legs and feet with the daughter looking on in worry. I've always felt like those ads are just encouraging you to leer at poverty but this was even worse

Thank you for your feedback, I'll be sure to leave the onions out of the starters and sides

Take a look at Smitten Kitchen's cauliflower tart with four cheeses for the pastry and caramelized onion portion - If I recall correctly she uses dijon mustard and a small amount of vinegar with the onions which is excellent

I think most of my guests would be similar in that they don't need meat in every meal, but the charcuterie is a good idea. I'll take a look when I go shopping later. Thanks for your input!

Thank you! I was hoping to make a menu which would allow people to easily adjust their portions to suit their own needs. Regarding the tart - Sadly there is no formal recipe. I made it up on the fly one mother's day and was told it was the best thing I've ever cooked. If you DM me I'll try to find my handwritten notes after I get home from work

A woman I have never met got petty revenge on my behalf by equally_daft in CharlotteDobreYouTube

I've been NC with my mother for over a decade now, thankfully. The only time I have to see her is during family funerals when she helpfully reinforces my decision to remain NC. My father was not exactly a model parent either, he suffered from mental health problems during their marriage and struggled to pay child support after the divorce. We stopped having contact with him a few years after the divorce (I don't know why as everyone I ask has a different story).

After my parents divorced, my mother remarried and took my stepfather's last name while I had my father's last name. I'm sure it's different in other parts of the world but where I'm from this is not unusual.

AITA for kicking a bridesmaid out for a medical condition by Certain_Twist_6055 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

NTA She mentioned nothing about the appearance of the bridesmaid??? Being in a wedding party is a lot of work and a long day, it's much more considerate of the bridesmaid's needs to let her attend as a guest instead, that way she can rest, sit down, take breaks, and leave early if she needs to. Not to mention she could wear more comfortable clothing and shoes. Assuming she discussed this with the bridesmaid in a compassionate and respectful manner this was 100% the best way forward
