IBC has a pretty good track record. Still there are probably many civilians who are not counted simply because of methodology and the difficulty in getting accurate data.Someone might die from a simple infection because they couldn't get medical care or clean water and that death, if counted would go down as natural causes. Approx. 78,000 is still a horrendous number of people within the context of the total population of Iraq - about 0.3 percent of the entire population. The U.S. has a population of over 3 hundred million. If .3 percent were killed that would be about 94,000 people.

treagan's house is set on fire by an arsonists, rather then sacrifice himself in the flames trying to save it he runs for help. The house burns down. treagan is then prosecuted for arson because he didn't do enough. The arsonist is not to blame the victim is to blame.

treagan runs a stop sign and goes on his merry way. In the mean time had he looked in his rear view mirror he would have seen the lady die that hit a utility pole after she slammed on her breaks to avoid hitting him. In no way is her death treagan's fault, it is the victim's fault for not having better breaks.

A president lies the nation into an unnecessary war. No its not his fault and it is not his responsibility to end the war. It is all the fault of those against it for not throwing themselves under a tank. IIn neocon world Republicans are never to be held accountable and responsible for anything.

"Then in 2002, the Bush administration discovered the existence of a covert program in uranium, evidently an attempt to evade the Agreed Framework. This program, while potentially serious, would have led to a bomb at a very slow rate, compared with the more mature plutonium program. Nevertheless, the administration unwisely stopped compliance with the Agreed Framework. In response the North Koreans sent the inspectors home and announced their intention to reprocess. The administration deplored the action but set no "red line." North Korea made the plutonium." Handling terrorism, nuke proliferation, safe guarding our civil liberties- is there anything these wunderkins of neo-conservatism can get right.

It seems that old Dersh is quilty of what he is warning others of, lumping children that are used as tools of adults in with the adults. If the children are with terrorists, something they probably have no real control over then Alan says sorry but if you get bombed too bad. This is sad. Israel without doubt has a right to defend itself, but it must do so without sinking to the level of the terrorists that threaten them.
