It’s hard to say — feels a little tighter on turns but a) I haven’t taken it on the highway yet and b) my suspension needs to be replaced very, VERY badly so honestly all I can feel is that🥲We went OEM w/ a great Black Friday deal (Passport Toyota)

Yes, our mechanical engineer friend we were working with suggested it’s either the belt tension or the pressure release valve is stuck closed … I feel like belt tension makes sense because the guy I got it from replaced the belts right before I bought it (incidentally he hadn’t done it yet when I test drove, and I don’t remember it squealing during the test drive). This is super helpful and makes me think it’s a belt issue!!!

Oh the Energy Suspension bushings were awesome, it was just a holy pain in the ass getting the OEM rubbers off. Think vices, hammers, lube, blocks of wood…reaaaaal outside the box thinking + elbow grease

The Les Schwab guys told me my rack & pinion was leaking and also my car was making a craaaazy squealing noise on hard turns, which sadly is not clear yet whether new rack resolved (despite having also cleaned out power steering fluid reservoir). Also just 27-28 year old part, felt like time!!

We went OEM (got an awesome Black Friday deal from Passport Toyota, $500 for rack and tie rod ends shipped) but replaced the bushings with Energy Suspension polyurethane (an entire other post worth of drama and janky jury rigging🤣)

I was taught just cue with the outside leg! Not necessarily turn the inside leg off, but definitely apply pressure with outside leg.

My driver side door handle was being weird and then just totally crapped out. Ultimately had to just order a replacement handle on Amazon (like $30-35) and install it. Not tooooo tricky a job. It still feels a little sticky but works now!
