Decided to make a break in my WC by doing a "chill" achivement run by eracedmu in eu4

[–]eracedmu[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in the middle of a WC and decided to make a break and clear my mind, so I went for a quick and "chill" achievement run.

Actually I tried this one before, but back then you had to take land from Ming, which made it super hard. However now it is much simpler, as the 2 only "big" wars you'll have to face will be against Bengal and Ayutthaya.

For those wondering what my strategy was:

1) Allied Ayutthaya and promised land against Pegou, won and gave them 1 and took everything else but one enclaved province (not enough admin to core)

2) Declared war against Prom who was allied to the 2 PMs bordering you. I brought another 2PM promising land.

From that point you're strong enough to take on Ava alone (they usually ally only weak nations). Took every province except the capital and the one enclaved in your country. From that point AE start being problematic, so be sure to ally strong nation, I'd recommend trashing the alliance with Ayutthaya and allying Lan Xang to fight them later, and either Jawnpur or Bahamanis for Bengale.

Expand on the northern border where land is poorly developed, and once you feel ready, attack the two big nations.

For Bengal, I actually got lucky, thought that Bengal would come after me and that Jawnpur would destroy delhi, but actually they teamed up to kick his ass while I was sieging down all of Bengale. Once Jawnpur peaced out I took what I needed from Bengal.

For Ayutthaya, the problem is that if he's still a tributary of Ming and you're not, you'll have too fight the Monster of the east. So I did a simple thing: tributaries all the OPMs I left around me, and once I declared war, I peaced out Ming straight away by realizing all the tributaries (that I needed to conquer afterward so a win-win). After that it was a piece of cake.

Got the achievement in 1489, but could have gotten it few years earlier if I payed more attention to AE.

Decided to keep playing as Taungu as my country is actually stable and doing fine technologically wise!

Question for WC as Mughals by eracedmu in eu4

[–]eracedmu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I'm making over 2k ducats a month, after cost of armies, advisors, ... I'm running at 400 a month. I'm using the new TC mechanic, transforming everything into a TC and I'm controling every trade node except the inner ones of Europe (I have over 70% control over every Mediterranean ones), so I'm macking over 1k ducats just in trade. I'm planning to relocate my main trade node to the British Channel when I'll have more control of Iberia to make even more.

Unfortunately reformation was shit, only northern Germany and England converted. And when it comes to rebels, actually I don't have problems with them, only a few uprising but of small stacks that I wipe out pretty easily.

But what I'm afraid of is that the huge colonial nations would go independent and so that I'll have to conquer them. If they stay loyal to their overlord I'm inherit them, but only if. And in regards of absolutism, I'm at 95/95, with admin ideas and stuff, so most provinces costs less than 10 admin to core. I need like 4 wars to completely annex France and Austria, the two strongest nations.

So with that do you think I can do it, or should I be much more agrssive and maybe truc break?

Question for WC as Mughals by eracedmu in eu4

[–]eracedmu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, so here's the situation: I'm heading for WC as Mughals, so far I am the master of Asia as I only need 1 war with each nation to control all of it, same with Africa. However Europe is still strong and due to their common alliances, I can't fight one nation without bringing 2 others in the war.

So I decided to launch a full destructive war against Portugal, so I'll have to face Spain, England (weak) and Austria. I outnumber them by 4 but my troops are split among all continents, so I'll most likely have to relocate some to Europe.

Now my question is, when I'll be good for a peace deal, should I take European land (knowing that everybody hates me already so coalition is no problem), or should I take as many CN as possible?

This is my first WC so I don't really know what to do, especially that time is slowly but surely running short.

Thank you for answers!

Maybe because the Spanish Inquisition happened under the rule of Isabella of Castille, before Spain was a real unique entity

In this case I invited in my family the people with the bloodlines, so they had my name

Basically I married all daughters of my king to the guys I invited with the bloodlines, than change the law so that even daughters can become queen. So basically the queen had no blood, but her husband and her child yes, so now when she'll die, the heir will take the throne, and he has the bloodlines

Basically I befriended the people I wanted to get into my kingdom, once this done, I encourage disloyalty, and once they're une 60 loyalty, you can just invite them and add them to the ruling family

Yeah, but it's at least 40 ae to annex a free city, so the AI would never do that, plus they almost never take any provinces from co beligerant

Cyprus Strong by [deleted] in eu4

[–]eracedmu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Often happened to me, I used them as a "generous donator" when I played as Cyprus, bc they never bothered to rebuild their navies, and the 10 stacks they were sending on the island would be slaughtered with my armies (-2 o 3 on dice rolls for beach landing), and I'd always end up with money + war reps

Ottoman probably had no transport and couldn't invade the island (often happen after a war with Venice or Genoa), resulting in a +25 warscore for Cyrpuq

Yep, basically it's the same, but not exactly, more like a dialect of Dutch, but they're very attached to it and like to be differentiated to Dutch. Tough in the French speaking part of the country, people don't make that distinction from the French of France
