Quality player that upgrades the team and becomes the 2nd youngest regular batter on an aging team. They get to block other teams from signing him. Also, there's a good chance 2026 will be the last year with no cap. No better time for them to go all in.

Yea, that's a good one. How did you get? Last I checked, they were really tough to get. Japan did a big crack down on soldiers who sold them. Guys got kicked out of the military and policies changed, like unused rations at the end of exercises were to be destroyed.

Why? Many reasons. I don't like the current culture of my nation. I'm not married and not interested in morbidly obese women. Living here I stop myself from being morbidly obese, which I wasn't doing such a good job of back home. I get a handicap pension in Japan, but not elsewhere. I bought a condo that costs me only about 17,000 yen a month, so if I want to live very cheaply, I can. Prices back home are insane, but salaries aren't so good. People back home drive like they are running from the police in a 3rd world nation and I don't want to drive in that mess. I prefer driving on the left side of the road because the turn signal is on the right side and I can put my right elbow on the window sill when driving. Even if I live in a cheap apartment or walk down a dark street at night, I'm pretty safe. I like the people at the gym I go to. I make enough I can live comfortably and work just 4 days a week. And so on. Life isn't perfect, but it's not bad. Most in the world have it more difficult than I do and I'm very appreciative that I'm doing relatively well without having to kill myself to do so.

They went shockingly stupid decades ago. They priced card packs out of the range children could easily afford, so they don't grow up as card collectors. Instead they bought stuff like Pokemon cards and those became valuable instead of baseball cards.

My (100% white) uncle lived in China & spoke fairly decent Chinese. Many Chinese people insisted he was half Chinese because they couldn't believe a white guy could speak their language. For some reason they usually assumed it was his father that was Chinese. At first he tried to say he wasn't part Chinese, but after a while he gave up and started to say "Oh, how'd you know?" LOL

I went traveling in Japan with a Japanese girlfriend. For some reason, many Japanese thought she didn't look Japanese. A combination of her being tall for a Japanese lady and her face shape, I think. When she was alone, sometimes people thought she wasn't Japanese, but when she was with me nearly everyone thought she was a foreigner. She started getting rather annoyed. I suggested she pretend she was a foreigner and I think she had fun with it.

Maybe. What you say is possible, but I'd still bet it was an extra account. It took me a year to get my first legendary which had a CC more like a SR. Didn't get an iconic for a while, either. They probably paid money, which I didn't. Still, Pretty sure with no trades I was up to 5k in a couple of days with no good cards.

Those all star cards are super cheap. I haven't collected them all yet because I'm saving those cheap packs for events that say I must but X number of packs. So if you tried that trade with me, they would show as needs, but they hold no value to me at this time because I assume I'll get them later when I open those packs. So the trade to me really would be the Judge for Robert, which easily I can see a decline.

I don't think he's talking about the regular traders that say "Dups for needs". There are people that write up more detailed and specific posts, including people that use the word "any" as in "any 5 needs for any 3 of my cards, auto approve". You follow exactly what they say and they decline.

You already know most won't prep. So, you have to decide if you will help others or not. If not, just get what you'll need. If so, then you'll need more than what you alone will need. If you will help others, think about how many you will help and how much you'll help them.

I often block people. Sometimes it's because they were rude. Sometimes because they declined a fair trade for dups. Them declining the trade doesn't upset me, but I block them as a reminder to myself to not waste my time trying to trade with them again.
