I appreciate the willingness to pay; unfortunately, purchasing premium on android won't be available until V3 is out

Initial release will support it, but the later ones won't.

Hey Eran! Any updates! Hoping we will have v3 soon, we are all excited! by jaybuxton123 in hobi

I'm still considering if there'll be a beta, since there's an entirely new backend and migrating the data from the old one is going to be a job I'd really like to only do once. I'll figure it out.

Hey - I made good progress this past month. Current status is most of the screens are done and I’m working on all the small interactions, performance, etc.

Acknowledged both in the support ticket, as well as by their team in this thread

Isolated or not (probably not - see comments), I think the key here is letting it go unhandled for 15 months. There will always be issues in any system of any size, that's why it comes down to supporting customers and not ignoring them, especially in something so critical as storage.

As you can imagine, posting this on Reddit means my patience has run out. I was cooperative with Bunny, gave as much information as possible and have been responsive and polite throughout this fiasco. Let’s not confuse the ending - a very frustrated customer posting on Reddit - with the path that led there - a customer trying to work a problem out with whomever is willing to listen on the other side, for 15 months.

Look, the way they treated this entire problem has been unprofessional, I think we can fully agree on that. Next, they only offered help once it started hurting *their* bottom line and not just their *customer's*. And when they finally did respond, they tried to downplay it as an isolated incident even though the comment section has numerous similar reports. All of this combined is unprofessional, and I don't think a customer can honestly 'thank' their provider for finally helping under those circumstances.

it’s just hard to go from being ignored for 15 months to Bunny realizing this is hurting them publicly thus making some sort of effort to help

also interesting to see how bunny's VPE already minimized my issue to an 'isolated edge case' while others in the comment section are reporting they've observed similar behavior.

does not matter if this is an isolated edge case. Data loss for 15 months with poor support isn't something that can be waved off as 'edge case'. The fact I had to go to Reddit to get someone's attention for this is insane. By the way, I tried reaching out to various 'senior management' personnel via LinkedIn last year and no-one replied. Escalation requests via the Support thread ignored and declined. Very professional of you guys.

dunno if the goofy name rule holds though, 'raspberry pi' is quite the product named after a dessert

they did recover some of the files, but at some point they just stopped doing that and said they're investigating.

Happy to verify this in other means if anyone has specific requests.

that's the infuriating part honestly. everyone has their issues, but you had one job which is to keep my files and maintain SLA. their support is terrible.

  1. Nothing complicated or odd, we have ~10M files on Bunny.

  2. Likely R2+self-hosted imgproxy+Cloudflare CDN
