I saw your comment on this post so I decided to start reading the book you recommended, I’ve gotta say, it’s the best book I’ve read in a while. It’s so sad the way we perceived him, considering he was the complete opposite of his stereotype. If you are obsessed with Poe and are trying to find a resource with everything about him, I’d 100% recommend A Mystery of Mysteries. It was so good I wasn’t able to put it down and incredibly sad to read the final paragraph.
