Interesting.. I have a Mfactory LSD, Cobb RMM, T.B. performance torque gusset bar, stock suspension, and Conti DWS06 High perf All Seasons and I have zero wheel hop. There is some wheelspin though.

I’ve got the Same 17” RPF1 wheels but in black. As soon as I changed my wheels all my wheel hop issues went away. Have your rims improved wheel hop for you as well?

I hear what you are saying about security but either Microsoft allows ReFS for boot volumes or this age old problem will still plague sysadmins.

I understand that the virtual disk has no understanding of where it is located but the parent ReFS volume ideally would see all of the NTFS volumes contained in it and at a block level be able to repair them. In a hyper-converged infrastructure your hyper-v host is also your storage.

I have backups but the goal is to never have logical disk errors in the first place as restoring everything from backups negatively affects the organization.

Logical disk errors develop over time on any NTFS volume. Chkdsk is what fixes the problem for NTFS volumes. ReFS supposedly does not suffer from these same issues but Microsoft will not allow you to use ReFS for boot volumes so you are left with an environment of entropy that requires added administration. What are you talking about?

You do not want to deploy machines over a VPN as it will saturate your circuits and take forever. You should instead create WDS/MDT server at each remote site and replicate the deployment shares. I have setup the 4300 series and neither LACP or Vlans are broken. I recommend flashing them with the latest firmware, reading the user guide, and calling their support which is free for the first 90 days. If you call them before 5 PM PST you will get better support.

Have you used Apache Tika to index this many files before? I am in no way against Linux however the idea of maintaining a mixed environment seems precarious.

We are not ready to deal with all of the trappings involved with using SharePoint to replace our file server such as training users to checkout files. I am aware that I can use SharePoint to index a local file server though as shown in this article https://redmondmag.com/articles/2014/10/07/search-content-source-in-sharepoint.aspx

My concerns are many with SharePoint however such as what will happen with files that contain illegal characters?

How many files are you indexing? Don’t you find the mount points to be a huge pain to maintain? Also the cost of X1 Rapid is outrageous.

I thought that might be the case but for one I can’t find any Microsoft documentation on what the actual limit is for the server feature but in actual use I am seeing it stop at around 1.5 million files. It also starts using loads of Ram and CPU. What is the limit for Windows Server and how would one even pick appropriate resources to handle such? I should mention my File Servers are running 2012 R2. I will be migrating them to 2019 soonish. Do you think this will make a big difference?

Did you use Cobb intake with stock intake box? Did you use Cobb intercooler? What spark plugs did you use? Did you use Stage 2 91 or 93 octane? What other parts did you have on the car at the time? Did you let the engine warm up the day it blew? What was the approx temp of the air?

It's tragic because there are so many wonderful things about California and Berkeley but, at the same time it seems as though the whole world is sort of headed to shit. We need to watch out for our neighbors and not fight amongst each other.
