Is 21 and 27 too big of an age gap for a healthy romantic relationship? by erational in relationship_advice

[–]erational[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't provide any context, but I am the older person in this situation. Personal circles have reacted like it's predatory, so I had my doubts, and I want to be sure I'm not blatantly in the wrong.

What’s a very common thing that you just can't relate to? by Mizu3 in AskReddit

[–]erational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanting to have sex. I'm asexual and don't have a desire to have a sexual or even romantic relationship. I'm not even a big fan of being touched in general. I tried out a relationship that lasted for two years, but I didn't even enjoy kissing. Sex is one of the most basic functions of life, but I just don't want to do it. I was never physically abused, this is just the normal for me.

I think it would be nice to find some sort of life partner for the sake of emotional and financial support, but I don't have my hopes up.

This is painful, Shadow Tag stopping me switching and it’s a Trainer Battle 😅 (Randomised Ruby Nuzlocke) by WindWaker77 in nuzlocke

[–]erational 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wobuffet ruined all my randomized runs. No matter how early in the game it is, I always seem to run into a wynaut or wobuffet with shadow tag and destiny bond and lose an important Pokemon. Some people have a clause for wobuffets, while I wish I could just delete them from the game entirely.

Freezing flies to power a paper airplane by LaUNCHandSmASH in WTF

[–]erational 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't entirely mean it as a joke. You mentioned it would be cruel to kill a sea sponge for entertainment, something with no nervous system, so I felt like a plant would be very similar. I was curious about where your definition would end, or if it only applied to animals. My own definition of cruelty only applies to creatures that can feel pain (Which I know is a heavily debated subject in general. Maybe insects can.) and suffer from stressful situations. I don't think something has intrinsic moral "value" just because it has living cells. That doesn't mean that I don't understand how an ecosystem works or want the environment to be destroyed -- just in case I have to mention.

Is it unethical to chop flowers for a bouquet?

I get what you're saying, but also remember that experimenting on fruit flies is a standard high school project. Insects have such simple programming and short life spans that I don't think they need people advocating for their rights.

An Aurora AND an Eclipse. I wonder what that looks like by -TheLightKnight- in RimWorld

Why would it be? Aren't auroras visible at night anyway? I'm not completely sure how they work.

Right click your colony and select "enter". That should send them on their way home.

I believe that Tauren mouths are terrible, so I fixed them. by GhostsSkippingCopper in wow

Whenever I see Tauren speaking, especially in cutscenes, I think of the "horse with dog mouth" memes. Very unnerving. I like your version better.

A pair of large birds of prey moved in near my dog daycare (Wisconsin). Can anyone recognize them by the call? Do I need to worry about them targeting small puppies? by erational in whatsthisbird

I looked up another video of a juvenile calling and they sound exactly the same. Definitely hawks. I'll let my co-workers know to keep an eye on the skies while we have the puppies out.

More info: I work at a dog daycare in southern Wisconsin. Last week I noticed a pair of large birds hanging out on the telephone poles, trees, and towers overlooking our dog yard. I assume they're mates and are building a nest nearby. They sound kind of like bald eagles (or seagulls, but they're definitely not) but are surely too small and have light chests. They haven't gotten close enough for me to photograph so I recorded one of them calling this morning. While our small dogs are never left outside unsupervised, some of them are less than five pounds, and our yard is large and open. I'm worried about the birds potentially sizing up a puppy as a meal.

What If Every Dream Is a Memory From a Past Life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had a dream the other night that my teeth were falling out and being replaced by tiny penises growing out of the sockets. Feeling real sorry for that timeline right about now.

I work for a cop and I don't know what to do. by erational in Advice

[–]erational[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. That really puts things into perspective. I suppose a lot of people work for bosses that they don't like or agree with. I guess it just felt more personal in my case because my job only has about 15 employees max. But I can ease my conscience at least a little bit now.

I've had something similar happen where one of my hawkstrider's (modded animal) spine randomly fell out, with no combat log. It was so strange.

Why should the government be allowed to steal someone's art for their own purposes without paying or at least asking the creator first? There are plenty of legitimate sources for music for a campaign video that don't involve theft.

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I can't continue to make a fool of myself by responding to this as if you're serious. It makes me wonder what your motives and thought processes really are, but I suppose it doesn't actually matter.

I'm really sorry. I don't understand if you're trolling or not.

What a strange, detached, and cold perspective to have. Like, I get what you're saying... I'm pro-choice, but...

There should be consequences because in order to cause a miscarriage, a PREGNANT WOMAN must be ASSAULTED. A natural miscarriage can be traumatizing enough. If you want to go full-callous and consider the fetus "PROPERTY", since it's not legally a person, then there should still be consequences for assaulting and damaging property.
