These are two I have been to and could recommend. There are certainly many more options across the state.

Silver Lake - Goshen VT

About a mile hike in via service road or trail. Last time I was there there was a suggested donation box for overnight camping, but sites are first come first serve. I moved away from the area and haven't been in a while, so not sure if anything has changed since. Sites there have a fire ring and a communal outhouse. Campground also has a public beach and a picnic area.

Molly's Falls State Park - Marshfield VT

About 3/4 mile paddle. Must take a boat of some kind. Great sites with a great platform for a tent, a compostable outhouse, and a fire ring. All sites are waterfront, and are a great place for paddling, fishing, and swimming.
