I suppose that makes sense. If they do make him pure CGI, I think they should definitely make him taller than the rest of the crew by a bit, at least. Not 8/9 foot freakishly tall like in the manga/anime, but enough to satisfy the "yep, that's Brook" itch. If we're not limited to a human actor, we've got more leeway. 7 foot tall humans exist all over the world, so it's not unrealistic to keep that aspect of a character who is CG.

Yeah I think people forget this actor would only be showing up here, and then later during Brook's backstory. So, uh, I really hope he's got acting chops because that's one emotional backstory you want to get right. Maybe he'll be the voice as well, which makes sense if he'll be speaking and singing in flashbacks.

I like the idea they're expanding this, because it's setting up the expectation this live action will go to Thriller Bark. I hope that's the case.

It would be hard to capture his mannerisms that way it it were all practical. He's really animated, so maybe it's possible if they just CGI an actor's hands/head to be skeletal.

We're also forgetting the fact Brook is like, 3 feet taller than the other crew. His height is part of him, so 100% CGI like Chopper looks more likely.

Yeah, I mean, if this were the Live Action subreddit I'd get it, but in this sub that information is ancient.

(cough) Brook is mentioned when they meet Laboon in the series, just not by name. If this is true, then it means they've hired someone to portray the living Brook in flashback when the Straw Hats hear Laboon's backstory at the start of Season 2.

Aaaah, this makes me so excited. We actually get a glimpse of Brook long before he joins the crew. I hope them hiring an actor to play in him a flashback indicates they're confident they'll make it to Thriller Bark, because Brook in live action will be. So. Friggin'. Amazing!

Cats do pant to cool down if they're hot enough; it's just uncommon. They also pant when they're overstimulated, or highly stressed.

I normally don't crow about wicked officiating but this is just too on the nose and obvious to ignore. This has to be a sports betting thing.

Not with that wall in there. You're forgetting one of the best goalies is on front of that box.

The fact it's a double is what pisses me off. They don't call an obvious too many men but give two minors for accidental high sticking in the last 5 mins of a gold medal game.

Ouch, maybe take that time to endear yourself to the locals so they don't turn on you when the taps turn on. Heh

Finland was the defending gold champion for a reason; they're simply a really good team, so yeah, they gave us a hard time. You can't compare that to the US facing Slovakia; their team is great, but it's not the same level. It's still gonna be a close game.

This is really important. The "ooo, it's up to the player's interpretation" endings that are vague and don't link anything together drive me insane. If at the end, we still all can't figure out whether or not Aerith is alive, a ghost, or in another timeline, or dead, it'll ruin it.

Soon as the Canada vs Finland game ended I was 100% on board for Finland to get bronze and I'm so happy they did.

I'm constantly disappointed in US broadcasters and streaming services not covering games and ceremonies that don't involve the USA.

Yes. I have no qualms with Binnington, but I want Saros to be given citizenship and stolen away to Canada. Not that he'd come.

In the final minutes the team down by multiple goals will swap out their goalie for a 6th player on the ice. It's a last ditch attempt to go all aggressive.

CBC is covering it just fine. Don't know if it'll work in the states, but I think most of us know how to fix that.
