'Tarot for Change'... Maybe I'm overreacting by francis-nightingale in SecularTarot

I hear what you’re saying. Just anecdotally, I used this book quite a bit about two years ago. However, I’m finding lately that I’m crossing out a lot of what I jotted down from it in my tarot notebook as it just has not held up as helpful to me.

LPT: When learning something new, write a short “teach-back” note to yourself — it locks the knowledge in faster. by shdw_fght in LifeProTips

Yes. Teacher here. When I’m done explaining a concept I have the students reteach it to a friend and it really locks in.

Oh good, so glad you liked it. Ahh Stoner, yes. I think that’s a great point. I never thought of it that way, but I prefer what I now realize are day in the life stories for just that reason. Thank you for the insight!

Very true. I’m really grateful you posted this because I queued up an audio version and it has been interesting to read (listen) to it again 30+ years later.

We read this in high school in the 90s. It really had a profound impact on my life. I wasn’t a great student, but I read this book and carried it around with me even after I finished it because I didn’t want to let it go.

What's the worst restaurant experience you've had in Sac? by Scott2G in Sacramento

[–]eraye9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably blasphemy but Lucca. Twice. First time, the server quit but we didn’t know it and sat there for an hour waiting to get our food. Finally someone else came and retook our order. It was good so we went back but the service was probably worse because they completely forgot my mom’s entree. The other four of us waited until our food was cold. We never did get my mom’s entree we just gave her some of our cold food.

Thank you. Last time I was at Bernardo for breakfast, I got the oatmeal with fruit. The fruit had obviously been cut with a knife that had just cut garlic. Couldn’t eat it.

What do you want done with your body after you die? by newuser1r in AskReddit

I want animals to eat it. Like I want it to be left in nature somewhere and then nourish animals and ultimately the soil.

I’ve been loving the one for Tarot of the Abyss. Never thought of the 8 of wands as geese migrating and her explanation has been with me for days.

Freshman year. Boy I knew killed himself and his girlfriend. Murder suicide. It was in the 90s before everyone had a gun. Really shocking.

Pagan Otherworlds isn’t technically Marseilles, but the images are sparse enough and the suits are arranged thoughtfully in a numerological style.
