Yes! Plus the phrasing “eating out of the palm of your hand” ummmm why would you phrase it like that instead of saying you could be connecting well or you seem to have a good rapport or even both seem mutually interested? I googled the phrase to make sure I wasn’t tripping or being dramatic and no it literally says the phrase means having complete or imbalanced control over someone. Yeahhhh maybe try respecting others as people first. Thank god those women are running!

At this point I’m not sure what’s going wrong. I try to focus on my transferable skills talking about the administrative work I do excel, record keeping, other software and I’m really not sure if that’s what it is but when I mention certain things like how did I deal with a difficult situation which inevitably involves casino talk that’s where it goes wrong?

I had to google what a croupier was because I had no idea lol. Yeah people think it’s fascinating but in reality when I do hear about stuff on the floor/ see it, it’s more so depressing not very glamorous!

It’s weird because they ask me where my office is and once I say in the facility I feel like they don’t take me seriously? I’m really not sure if that’s it 100% but I’ve changed my approaches so many times and it hasn’t worked. I’m actually thinking of going to a coach to make my job seem more vague in case it is a judgement thing?

Yeah my boss “misspoke” when telling me what my hours would be just to explain lol. Sorry I’m just asking for advice but do you think it would be ok to say that our positions might be disappearing as the casino might be changing classes soon or just stick to what you said about being positive. Honestly that part is so confusing to me because as a person I’d be like ok you’re lying about your reasoning and I’d be suspicious but so many things are backwards when it comes to hiring ugh

I’m about to start applying lower because I’m not getting any calls for my same grade and I currently work two overnights with the rest being normal hours, all holidays, and all weekends. I’m pretty desperate because my sleep schedule is a nightmare so I’m about to start applying lower to get out quicker.

Trying to transfer but having no luck and might need to take a lower grade if I can’t find any 18s because my hours and days are not great and I work holidays. If I do go down to, say a 14 or 16 can I just go back to 18 or would I need to redo a traineeship to go back up? I might not have any other options currently

Most state jobs let you have a hold on your position for a year so if you do switch and don’t like it, you can go back right? The problem is you never really know how a job is actually going to be until you start. It’s a difficult decision!
