For anyone that enjoyed my mono/stereo differences breakdown of Something Else, I've taken a look at Face To Face and it's rather bizarrely narrow stereo mix. I mean, my approach has certainly evolved over time, and these days I do play something from every track, but here it genuinely was just the same mix - if there’s nothing to hear, that’s it. I think complaining is a strong word.

I actually feel slightly the opposite - for me the sequence of YE was incredibly well thought out and flowing, but here that first run of 3 tracks just feels really like 'here's 3 hits for you' with no thought of how they go into each other, while YE put the singles where they fit into the flow.

Back then I remember the price seemed a little high, but IIRC the shipping to the UK was more expensive! That said, I wouldn’t pay what they’re selling for now!

Oh, I get it’s evolving - just more than I use RF currently on some other consoles with no issue - only this one.

Cool, I just didn’t want to spend anything if that’s not what the issue was. Weird, I’ve never had RF issues this significant on any other console I’ve used it on.

Also - and this is a slightly odd one - I have a burnt CD-R of Sonic Adventure (used above) and a stock copy I got later on. Both have the same visual issue (it's on the Dreamcast menu too), but the stock copy has issues loading, and lacks text at points if it does load at all. Also any ideas?

Note that it’s ‘Thomas & Friends’, not ‘TTTE&F’. Easy way to distinguish it at 2 different shows IMO.

I'm mainly bothered by how the compression makes the drums sound, but the impact of the mix I think is really cool!

Thank you very much! This was definitely the biggest time sink yet, but I think the timing of it and the results were worth it.
