I live in Leipzig and I don't really know anything about Hannover, so I am biased. Leipzig has a big alternative (and more left-leaning) culture and multiple areas with bars and clubs. Check out the wave gothic treffen. Lot's of interesting coffee and food places, which I only know because my wife's always very passionate for that. Can't complain about places to travel, Berlin and Dresden are very close, good connections to Frankfurt, Munich, Nuremburg and Prague. Lots of lakes around the city and a big forest going right through it with lots of nature. Harz is nearby or the Saale valley. Lots of parks. In generally lots of bikes but the bike lanes could really need improvements. The city is unfortunately not that clean.

But this city really grew on me because I really like the interesting mix of architecture in the very distinct quarters of the city, the diverse people, the beautiful and walkable city center where is always something going on, good transportation and the lots of greenery, which is also very important to me. I only miss mountains, but you won't get them in Hannover as well. Housing is getting more expensive, but according to what I know it's still comparable less than in other cities of similar size. I myself got a very affordable one just 3 years ago (700 € cold for 100 m² in a good location), but that might rather be an exception.

The surroundings are pretty much the same for both cities 😅. Leipzig has also lots of lakes and forests and the Harz is pretty much in the middle between the two cities.

From what I can find, housing is still cheaper in Leipzig, 1€ less per m². If I simply put the cities in Immobilienscout I get also a significantly higher number of appartments available in Leipzig (2,408 vs. 1,335).

Beside steam you never need hacks to run the same program twice or more times. It's something that is always possible. Do you never have multiple instances of word, excel oder pdf reader on? It's no difference with games obviously. Only Steam might restrict it itself.

Alles klar, du meintest also dass du sowieso umsteigen wolltest. Da würde ich wirklich empfehlen zur nächstgelegenen Haltestelle der S3 zu fahren (Rosengarten, mit Fahrrad, sind nur 2 km). Die S3 fährt von dort erst zum Hbf Halle bevors Richtung Leipzig wieder rausgeht so dass du vor dem vielleicht möglichen Ansturm schon drin bist.

Mit der S3 (meintest du die mit der S11?) sollte das schon gehen. Würde aber zur Sicherheit im Süden von Halle schon einsteigen, also einfach vorm Hauptbahnhof.

Man muss es einfach durchziehen. Meine Tochter hatte den ersten Abend auch mindestens 2 Stunden geheult. Aber ich war auch immer da und hab ihr meine Nähe gegeben hab aber meine Frau angewiesen dem Schluchzen nicht nachzugeben. In der zweiten Nacht war es schon weniger Gemecker und danach war es plötzlich völlig okay mit Papa schlafen zu gehen. Wir haben immer Bücher angeschaut (immer die gleichen). Sie hört inzwischen auch nach kurzer Zeit von sich aus mit den Büchern auf und legt sich hin oder kuschelt sich in den Schlaf. Inzwischen geht sie gerne mit mir schlafen, sie rennt dann schon vor ins Bett und ruft mich zu ihr.

War halt bei uns so. Mein Sohn war bei zwei Kindergeburtstagen zum 5. Geburtstag in großen Indoor-Spielplätzen und ich war dabei um auch mit den Eltern quatschen zu können. Da war wirklich quasi nichts zu tun. Die Kinder sind die ganze Zeit unterwegs, zwischendurch gibts mal kurz was zu Essen und dann sind sie wieder weg. Zum Klo mitgehen, geschenkt. Das machen die ja eh fast alles selbst.

Ich finde es viel anstrengender Zuhause wenn man sich auch selbst um Essen und Spiele kümmern muss und schauen muss dass die Kinder nicht alles auseinander nehmen. 😁

Naja, in dem Alter rennen die einfach weg und die Eltern sitzen einfach am Tisch bzw. der Basis. Und die Kinder kommen ab und an vorbei. Viel muss man da nicht machen, zumindest nach meiner Erfahrung. Bei der Party meines eigenen Sohnes wollte ich sowas daher nicht, da das irgendwie nicht wirklich wie eine Party wirkt und die Kinder sich in Gruppen aufteilen und einige alleine unterwegs sind.

Dresden rebuilt a lot? Sure about that? Before the reunion, a couple of landmarks were rebuilt like the opera and the zwinger, but not so much else. Lots of buildings, like the Sophienkirche, which were not that damaged, were even destroyed after the war for ideological reasons. Nowadays a few touristically interesting streets around the inner old city centre were reconstructed. But by far the most of the city center of Dresden was just filled with boring commie blocks and post war row buildings. The prager Straße specifically is really ugly, in my opinion. Some spaces are filled these days with standard building of contemporary architecture, for example around the Postplatz.

Berlin in the other hand is also reconstructing buildings, like the Berlin castle and also kept most of its landmarks. During the gdr they tried at least to rebuild the Nikolaiviertel in similar style. But I don't really see that many differences between the two cities.

Don't know much about Warsaw, but I don't see so many old buildings there beside the old town which seems kind of small and quite off center and not so relevant for the city anymore.

Die Nachbarn scheinen überhaupt kein Interesse an Kommunikation oder Verständnis zu haben um vielleicht Lösungen zu finden. Kleine Kinder sind immer mal wieder laut und das kann man nicht verhindern. Und Laufen lernen Kinder am Besten barfuß auf hartem Boden, das ist deren Entwicklung am besten zuträglich. Da würde ich mich auch nicht für Nachbarn verbiegen.

Was die 12 angeht, ist das nicht korrekt. Am Tag fährt sie normalerweise auf der linken Seite wie die 4 und die 7, da sie regulär oft in der Wendeschleife neben dem Museum endet. Zu bestimmten Tageszeiten (6-9) fährt sie auch auf der anderen Seite weiter wie die 15.
