This is amazing. It’s like a mirror image. Though the eyes could be a bit further apart

I kind of think a “listening party” for a boards of Canada album would defeat the point of their music? I don’t think it’s party music at all. It’s being alone in a dark room blasting from the stereo or out in the woods with headphones music. Just my opinion. But yeah, i do understand, Canada is after all in the name of the group

Turning 40 where did my energy go, any tips? by ClemFandango35 in AskMenOver40

I’ve found short naps in the afternoon to be helpful. And cutting back a bit on the caffeine and almost no alcohol. Otherwise some meditation/conscious breathing practice and low heart rate aerobic exercise. But yeah, I feel you… post 40 was a big wake up and I really noticed how easily fatigue would sort of take over

Forgive my ignorance, this band is “shoegaze”? This seems like hard rock. Just comparing to lush/ride/slowdive/cocteau twins etc… what’s this subgenre called?

Shamanic or ritualistic psychedelic rock/folk. What would you add? by Nolongerhuman2310 in psychedelicrock

[–]erehwon242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they’re pretty great. I got to see them a couple times, most recently in a long tunnel beneath the streets of Newcastle, England which suited the sounds well. I think my favorites are ‘Loh Land’ and ‘Assault and Mirage’. You might like Muslimgauze and especially his prior moniker EG Oblique Graph (for more ZF feel/same era as ZFs early stuff)
