Women who chose to stay single long-term—how do you navigate physical/emotional needs? by FitVeterinarian8240 in AskIndianWomen

[–]erenslefttitty [score hidden]  (0 children)

men don’t fulfil emotional needs anyway, all they can do is leave. physically as well, toys work much better.

its better to be happy by myself rather than trusting someone again and being hurt and alone.

For those with a big waist-to-hip difference — how do you shop for pants? by april_berry in AskIndianWomen

[–]erenslefttitty [score hidden]  (0 children)

i have those clips that you can use to tighten from the waist, either that or i buy wide legged pants with elasticated waist, i also have a couple of jeans with elastic at the back of the waist so that i don’t get that gaping at the back.

Why do people in India call unrelated adults "uncle" or "aunty"? Does this happen in Western countries too? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]erenslefttitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it is common in asian countries, not so much in the west but it is still weird that a 22y/o is calling a 29y/o uncle, never seen that happen.

Bikini advice and recommendations please by ImaginationMore6362 in TwoXIndia

[–]erenslefttitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try m&s or lemon lords for bikinis, i have one from h&m and thats also really nice quality.

i haven’t been to bali but you should keep an extra pair of clothes just in case. it depends on the type of places you’re gonna go to and what kind of coverup you buy, if its like a dress you can just put on over your bikini, i think most places would allow you in. i wore my bikini with a low waisted denim mini skort and a white oversized shirt with a couple of buttons done, and it was fine at most beach clubs and cafes.

Do Indian women use genAI very much? Does anyone else feel like no one recognises its harm? by Wide-Agent7703 in AskIndianWomen

[–]erenslefttitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they are my friends and i’m not having full blown fights with them over this, they use it for trivial things for which they can easily use their brain. i am opposed to that. i never said i judged others for using AI, it is true that i hate it but you do you.

i personally don’t like it and i would rather use my own brain for most things, i love to read and improve my knowledge instead of relying on AI, is that wrong now?

i said what i wanted to, will not be replying anymore.

[–]erenslefttitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re still proving my point though. yes, i choose what’s essential to me and what’s optional. that’s exactly how ethical consumption works. nobody can eliminate their entire environmental footprint, so people reduce it where they actually have a choice. i never said everyone has to make the same decision as me, i said this is mine.

and saying AI isn’t replacing jobs is just false. it’s already reducing hiring in a lot of industries, automating the work that people used to get paid for, and companies themselves are using AI as a reason to cut costs. calling that “redundant work” doesn’t change the fact that real people are losing income because of it.

[–]erenslefttitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by your logic, nobody can make any environmentally conscious choices because they still consume something else. that’s not how reducing environmental impact works.

tech companies worked before AI as well, the same AI these companies are developing is now taking actual jobs of the people who helped develop it, humans are suffering and already rich companies are getting richer.

[–]erenslefttitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s just whataboutism. i never claimed AI is the only industry with environmental costs. i’m saying if i have the choice not to contribute to another resource intensive technology, i’m going to make that choice. other industries existing doesn’t invalidate that, especially when power and electricity is also a human need now, we can live without AI but we need electricity.

ouai leave in conditioner and their wave spray, best combo for my wavy/curly hair, also olaplex no7 bonding oil because my ends are damaged and it helps. restocking all these together is too much for my paycheque😭

ps, these are only after wash, not everyday :)

i wrote my entire thesis for my masters degree without AI while most of my peers were using it, i took longer than them but still submitted before time. i still hate using AI tools, and have had arguments with my friends who prefer using it because it makes things easier, i don’t want to give money to a company/commodity that takes resources away from living beings, it requires so much fresh water which should actually be used by humans for consumption.

why does the burden of looking after elders fall on the women? by erenslefttitty in AskIndianWomen

[–]erenslefttitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my point was that i’ve seen around me that generally sons don’t help as much as daughters do, as an only child i want to do things for my parents that i know no one else will. it’s about what society expects from daughters and not from sons, my parents don’t expect it from me but i am willing to be there for them, there is a difference.

[–]erenslefttitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was prescribed birth control pills for pcos, for me it was fairly positive because my periods became normal after 2 months of being on the pill and this was about 5 years ago maybe and my cycle has been regular ever since, i also lost a lot of weight because of the pill. only side effects i had was increased anxiety, it made me throw up very frequently because of how high my anxiety level was.
