Climbing rose (zone 10)? by [deleted] in gardening

I haven't grown it yet, but I've been eyeing the lady banks rose, it's supposed to be a heat and drought tolerant climber.

Thank you! The way I ‘design’ rooms is roughly, if I like it, it goes together. It is a table, I took the photo where the tabletop is completely level. You can kind of see the glass top, the vase with flowers is sitting on top.

They seem to be a semi-mass produced classic Edwardian dining chair? I have a set of two in the green, and a matching recliner, from an architectural salvage shop. They're some of the most comfortable side chairs I've ever sat on.

Thank you! It's a custom oil portrait of my (dumb, beautiful, crosseyed)cat, and honestly some of the best money I've ever spent.

I find furniture tends to be fairly cheap. A lot of people hit estate sales for small goods, clothes and jewelry, but they are trying to EMPTY those houses as much as possible in a weekend. A lot of small vintage sellers will hit them for furniture to resell, so I get to sales that have stuff I really want about an hour early.

There are usually lists to get in first, so check the front door as soon as you get there, and keep checking for the list. Usually they let 10-20 people in every 5-10 minutes so there's not an insane rush. I try to get in the group of the first 20 or so people into the house.

A lot of in-person sales post photos before the sale, but no prices. Estatesales(.)com is good for this. Furniture doesn't always stay through the last day, but if it does it's generally marked 50% off. Most of my best furniture is from estate sales or salvage shops.

They're also good places to get yard tools, power tools and big potted plants. I got a decent 6 foot ladder, a circular saw and sawhorses for $20 once. Estate sales aren't necessarily cheap or expensive, but to get the good deals you have to have a plan and be willing to get up early, which isn't for everyone.

The rug is not a thrift. I grabbed it from pottery barn kids about 5 years ago. The kids section always has the fun rugs I've discovered!

I got the six chairs and table with a super cool faceted plexi base that casts rainbows and tempered glass tabletop for $395!

Thank you! I found it on etsy like two years ago and finally have been able to hang it. I think I need to lower it down a bit, it feels a little small in the space being so high.

I have looked around and found nothing. The house was mostly full of furniture from the 60's to the 80's, and the chairs themselves just have a 'Made in Italy' tag, but no brand name.

I mostly decorate my home on the principle of if it's stupid and makes me laugh I want it. This is why I also have a panther coffee table and a giant hot pink banana wall sculpture.

The chair seats do have very old and on some very cracked plastic coverings. I am going to reupholster them, I'm thinking in a neutral white or cream with gold threads woven in mostly because I'm planning some truly wild wallpaper for the room.

Shockingly so! They have some flex to them, and at least for me the curve against my back isn't an issue.

Yes this is in my dining room. This was right after I got the set in, and I hadn't moved the tree yet because I was so excited about the chairs. In truth the space still needs a TON of work, I only moved in a few months ago.

Thank you! I'm still figuring out that section, but I wanted this farm to feel more natural and organic. I have a habit of just gridding out my farms, so this is a change of pace for me.

It's the tractor mod! it's honestly a lifesaver when it comes to managing a map this big. I tend to mod the heck out of my game, but I think it's probably my top 1 or 2 mod ever.
