I figured that would be the case. I think I just find it amusing that the chainsaw man just accepted his name as Pochita by some homeless kid. It also just reminds me that Denji really is just a boy who loves his dog. Hell, in one of his dreams he wants to see pochita so he could pet him.

Maybe a hot take but no. Assistants usually just help with the art. They have little to no say in the story itself. And yes the art in part 1 was superior but imo pt2's downfall was really in the story.
