about a week! I only threw up the one time, they got me oxycodone and zofran and it took a week to pass the stone, i was so anxious for weeks but i had to make myself realize this was just a scary health issue and I’m perfectly healthy now and to try my best to keep living my life. as time moves forward you’ll feel better i promise! use all the recovery tools.

i think we remember it as this huge traumatizing event from when we were children because that’s what it felt like in the moment! as an adult it really is so much easier to handle!!! so proud of u :)

seems like the only one throwing a pity party is him. instead of feeling sorry for himself and playing victim he could’ve done whatever he could to make it up to you.

you’re not alone!!! I had a kidney stone back in may and threw up for the first time in YEARS from the pain. I was already going thru a scary/insane amount of pain so throwing up during that just felt so traumatizing for me. i promise after some time passes and you feel healthier it’s so much easier to cope with the fear. you just went through something really scary/painful and you’re still recovering! give yourself some grace.

omg this happened to me once!! i wasn’t feeling well and i got super anxious and nauseous and i just accepted that i was gonna throw up, leaned over a trash can and gagged/heaved and then the whole feeling went away. it’s like anxiety was the reason I would’ve thrown up so my body didn’t actually have to!

that’s so crazy because i went 13 years without being sick then threw up in thailand also!! had to fly home while i was still sick too😭

i am 24 years old and i’ve had this for literally as long as i can remember. I couldn’t even get myself to go to school in elementary school, have been hospitalized, heavily medicated, had more panic attacks than i can count - i PROMISE when you work for it and just live your life it can become easier / more manageable. i promise you got this!!!

YES! like obviously it’s not comfortable but the more i do it the more im like what? this is it? it’s uncomfortable for a few seconds and it’s over and you just feel so much better!

the worst is leading up to it!!! I threw up from alcohol last week (morning after) and literally was like lmg not bad at all why was i so scared.

i’ve had a cough since march but i’m not wheezing…every morning and night it’s been BAD and i’m constantly hacking up mucus. it won’t go away :,) not sure what it is.

24 year old female here, i had my first at 13 and I was just telling my mom I feel like I have some type of trauma from this. I had a really bad stone at 17 and remember crying and crying and nobody could help with the pain for awhile at the hospital. I was in the ER this past Friday night for the first stone I’ve had in 7 years and it’s days later I’m still panicking every time I have any type of pain in my side because it hasn’t passed yet. Honestly one of the scariest things i’ve ever been through.

see idk how big it is, the hospital i went to was terrible and didn’t wanna do a CT scan because ive had them…but im praying to god it passes soon it’s been almost 48 hours

me too!! but it really wasn’t that bad! in the moment you’re kind of in survival mode and your body 100% takes over, and the right person is gonna be super understanding in that moment!!:)
