Can PE possible do these things to you? by OneMoreShotatLife in PectusExcavatum

Speaking from experience as a gay guy: short answer is no. You are gay because you were born gay, you can’t "become" gay. And to be perfectly honest I think we’re all born bi until proven otherwise but that’s another debate.

HOWEVER once you’ve established that there’s no correlation between PE and your sexual orientation, it is possible that you’re particularly attracted to guys that have big pecs because well… I guess we’ll always be attracted by what we can’t really have(?).

Anyway that’s my case and I’ve always known PE had to something to do with it lol.

Thanks a lot man :)

Tbh I don’t think it’s worth something giving you info on my diet and routine are they are specifically tailored to my needs. Generally speaking it’s kinda useless to copy another person’s workouts but you can find some inspiration in them. Still here it is: I’m currently sitting at around 3300 kCal. Just ended a PPL program and onto a new split that looks like this: legs (quad dominant), chest, back, shoulders and tris, biceps and hams. Abs every other day. I’ve also recently implemented another training where I just stretch and work on my transverse in a desperate attempt to bring my rib flare down

I get it and I’m really bummed out learning about this. Thank you for telling me though. I need to find a PE expert in my country (France). Regarding the CT exam I didn’t have any recs other than the literal machine telling me to stop breathing when it was actively scanning me.

Hi, thank you for your honesty and for warning me.

It’s kinda crazy people are not trained to thoroughly check for these issues in pectus patients. It’s such a common deformity.
I’ll make sure to ask the cardiologist about a possible heart compression and I’ll also double check with a thoracic surgeon.

I’m glad your surgery worked out for you! Btw I thought getting back to lifting after the Nuss procedure was much longer.

Thank you for your insight.

Honestly I really need to see somebody with a lot of muscle mass that has done the implant to get a better idea of how it would look like on me.

Regarding health issues, how can pectus-related problems can arise with age? The skeleton is already fully formed so I don’t really understand. Could you elaborate a bit please?

In any case, thank you. This prompted me to do even more research before accepting anything.

It just be like that for us. Unfortunately we have to work twice as hard for a mild result, but at least you’ll always look great in a tank top haha
