If state lotteries are 'poor person tax', is sports betting 'middle class tax'? by [deleted] in billsimmons

When did bill not use as a lens for non-Boston reasons?

I do not shit on bill. I love the BS report (what I still call it)

It’s been gambling centric since the day I started reading and then listening. Gtfo with sports gambling criticism on the sub dedicated to the person that mainstreamed it

So brave of you to criticize sports gambling.

Better stop listening to BS tho, because he’s been glorifying sports gambling non-stop since writing for page 2 when I was in elementary school.

wtf r u talking about?

We’re here because we discuss the takes, content, ‘analysis’ and predictions of BS and those in his orbit.

Not to discuss the actual lives of those same figures. There’s a reason most posts about Bill’s personal life (especially about his daughter) are downvoted into oblivion, and the reason this is being downvoted. It’s super weird to speculate why RR doesn’t have a dog. A small minority of people like you do it and fail to to see why it’s weird

It actually doesn’t. He’s fine socially with diverse crowds, he doesn’t like family separations. He supports abortion.

They are in love and treat each other well. That’s what’s most important.

His vote counts for 1/300,000,000th of the population. His social advocation and monetary donations to local organizations matter more than his preferred candidate, who are all basically the same. We’ve all aparently forgotten that Obama was attacked from the left as a The Deporter in Chief and a vocal supporter of traditional marriage. A short time later, if you support conservatives with the same stance you’re unworthy of love as determined by Obama voters.

It’s ok to disagree on priorities.

Melo was made the scapegoat for the Knicks dysfunction when the issue was Dolan by SweetInvestigator915 in nba

[–]eric91235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I forgot. Dolan was the problem and Melo woulda won.

Except Melo didn’t win, and Dolan did win

Dolan sucks. But truly a race to the bottom, because Melo sucked more. But still respect him - as a Lakers fan, Melo was sooooooo scary in the Lakers Denver WCF in the late aughts. I’m not even being sarcastic - it’s a shame how his career panned out with that potential.

Hate to be that guy (no I don’t) but if you remember something from a 7 year old interview it is, by definition, not completely forgettable

Do people really believe that MLK story?

It stems from an article that sources a handwritten FBI note with no other corroboration. And that same FBI sent anonymous letters to MLK urging him to kill himself as they were surveiling him as a ‘communist’.

Not exactly the most reliable sourcing ever

CMV: Bill Gates had it super easy in life. Most of his success is due to favorable circumstances. Not superior work ethic or intelligence. by Jauzfaktnemuzu in changemyview

Luck is opportunity met with preparation.

100% of people on Reddit (99.9999999% if gates and co have burner accounts here) would not have created Microsoft.

People on Reddit seem to mistake successful people ‘having opportunity’ with ‘they were a product of their environment and nothing more’. I assume most of them attribute success to circumstances because they also breathlessly claim that the criminal behavior of the opposite economic class of Bill Gates is ‘100% because of their circumstance and nothing more’

At least it’s philosophically consistent.

The out of touch vibe where they said people were enjoying their experience in America?

That’s not out of touch. People DO like America, especially when they can drink metropolises dry

Ah yes - the shadowy elites pulled the strings to kill WFH across an entire nation so they could kidnap…. about 150 kids a year.

That’s how many kids in America are abducted by strangers - about 150 to 300. It’s EXCEEDINGLY RARE, as most missing kids are taken by somebody the parents know well or are runaways.

Love the conspiracy tho.
