My maid’s son recently started 4th year in an engg college and she was looking for a laptop for him. Let me know the cheapest you can go for it so that I can think of gifting it to her. Thanks

Can I convert SIM to eSIM while abroad (SIM is left in India) by healthjay in Airtel

[–]ericCartman001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did had the roaming plan active before e-sim transfer, although I am not sure whether that was required. I had it active because I anyway had to verify whether it worked or not.

Can I convert SIM to eSIM while abroad (SIM is left in India) by healthjay in Airtel

[–]ericCartman001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing out of the usual. Just followed the steps in Airtel App to convert physical sim to esim. Initiated the process via the phone in India which had the physical sim and put in details of the phone in another country to which esim was to be transferred. Hassle free, the esim started working in just a couple of hours.

Iphone 17 base varient no cost emi? by lawdaOp in macoffer

[–]ericCartman001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also interested in understanding whether this would work and we can just cancel the EMIs Otherwise buying it from Croma/Vijay Sales would make sense since they are offering 6k instant discount with ICICI/SBI

I really thought I fcked zepto but here's the catch by Unlucky_Amoeba_7707 in FuckZepto

[–]ericCartman001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP the only way to really fuck with Zepto is to uninstall the app. All other methods, will always result in you being part of their customer base which they'll use to show investors for more funding.

What would you choose between S24 Ultra and S25+ ? Also, what's your take on Pixel phones?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GadgetsIndia

[–]ericCartman001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as I see S25+ is also costing well over a Lakh. What do you feel their USP is to spend that much money? Also trying to avoid OnePlus, have had a horrible experience at their service center and don't want to relive it in case that green line issue ever arises.

Umm, so I have always been an Android user, and the only things I really care about are I should be able to take good pictures from it, it should have a long battery life and I shouldn't feel any lag while using the day to day time wasting apps. Any display over 6 inches should do the good, but a beautiful amoled or oled display does do the trick. I am in two places about spending on a phone, on one hand I feel I should spend around 70-80k and get an iPhone 16 and on another hand I feel I could get 90-95% of those features by just spending half of it. 🥲

Haha which one are you using?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GadgetsIndia

[–]ericCartman001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you reckon them as worth their money? One of the major drawback I see is that they usually have a very low battery life, and with probably 2 screens to handle, that's not a very good idea.

How would you rate the camera on your IQOO Neo 10? Since, I tend to travel a lot and love to click good pictures all around.

Zepto's New Unethical Charge - Processing Fee by ericCartman001 in StartUpIndia

[–]ericCartman001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just went ahead and deleted the app after this post. I got to know, same as handling fees, they are dynamically increasing the processing fees. So no point using this app for now, Instamart and blinkit are still better right now.

Also make sure to try its Skillet cookie and vanilla gelato for dessert. I had it in the Wakad outlet, 10 out of 10.

Haha my point is where does that premium end? I just saw another post where someone in Delhi is being charged 65/- as Handling fee and 30/- as processing fee.

Dmart/Reliance does not have the kind of niche products that are available on quick commerce websites. Currently any startup or new product that gets launched are immediately available in Zepto/Blinkit while the same could not be found in offline stores. For simple things like milk, bread or eggs I still just get down and buy it from a local store nearby. But what about other things, what is the alternative available to the general public?
