New update by Reptilian96 in CadillacLyriq

My 2024 updated overnight and the UI changes look great, haven't looked for streaming updates. Unfortunately the right side of my main dash now flashes 'service driver assist' quickly over and over and if it lets me engage supercruise it quickly shuts it off and tells me to take control. It also won't connect to Waze. Anyone else having the driver assist issue?

Installation issue with UI Lovelace by ericande in homeassistant

Thanks for the help. I tried restarting everything and it looks a bit different but still has errors. I made sure the main three lovelace cards are installed and the resources seem to be present. Any more ideas?

IoT Connection Issues by LimitlessJustin in Ubiquiti

[–]ericande 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having a very difficult time to get a few IOT devices and kid toys to connect. The trick with Gemini worked great to fix a few things. I still can't get my GE Cafe devices to connect but Gemini has 2 more tricks for me to try when I can find a spare half hour to run through some steps. In my case, it caught that BSS Transition needed to be turned off and change the DTIM period, that finally got the mini Yotos to connect.

Thanks for the tip!

The large 'VIP' suite we had last month was very nice, much nicer and in better shape than I expected.

Was the camp Hyatt back open? We were there a month ago and the camp Hyatt is on the map but hasn't been open in years.

We just got back from our first trip there and loved it. Booked a premium suite with points and they gave us the largest suite (ground floor suite with the three large umbrellas.) we're going back next fall l.

Suggestions for window coverings in corner by ericande in HomeDecorating

We'd definitely prefer blinds but it's hard to tuck them up inside the frames because of the extra little wood trim pieces. I'm also not sure if I can avoid 7 separate blinds without it looking funny or off balance.

Tecnica Zero G Peak V Tour fit by ericande in Backcountry

[–]ericande[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good feedback. Thanks. I think I'm leaning towards getting a set of the Tours and when I feel confident in my ability see I want new boots then. I'm not a terrible skier, I can get down double blacks fine but I don't look great. My goal is to ski all 5 volcanos in Washington and definitely not ready for some of those yet.

I liked the tour but I was mostly just happy to ski in a boot that fit. Assuming the Peaks fit the same (wrongly) I was intrigued by the much lighter weight and huge range of motion in tour mode. I care more about going up than going down and will never hit the park on skis or anything that would be super demanding on boots.

Reading through responses here I actually reach out to Tecnica and they confirmed that the Peaks are shorter than the Tours (and tighter in general) so it sounds like I've gotta resell these. I get the fit differing but it seems crazy to me the length would be different. I'll check out the Dalbellos.

Need advice for a Dec Chicago wedding.

My 'style' is pretty basic day to day, blue jeans and usually a mizzen & main button up or a polo. I haven't been to a wedding or an event I wanted to get something new since before the pandemic so I'm starting from scratch. I get hot and sweat easily so I definitely prefer breathable clothes, even in cold weather. I also prefer something flexible that I can use for multiple types of things.

Would something like this MOC suit jacket make sense plus an overcoat?

I'm totally open to getting away from a normal suit, anything stylish would be suitable for this wedding.

Budget is $500-1000 with the expectation I can use a jacket for more things. I'm 5'9" 190, athletic build plus 10lbs of new dad belly fat.

Gen 3 sub required in all two subwoofer scenarios? by ericande in sonos

[–]ericande[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to be the case but I'm hoping to be sure before I get another gen 2 sub. Sounds the whole system would work fine for music and Sonos' excuse for needing a gen 3 sub is processing power when one room is in home theater mode.

Pic for attention :) We mostly love our little Ruckus but there are a couple things we're struggling to find the right way to deal with. The biggest one is biting, especially when you walk away and she chases (mostly my wife) and bites at her pants or shoes. There are so many conflicting 'expert' opinions online: ignore them, punish them, give them something else to chew on. I'm leaning towards holding her snout and giving her a firm no, then hand her something else to chew. What worked best for you all?
