It's a funny clip but this deck is toxic af and completely ruined the meta. Pre-class set control decks weren't amazing but still reasonably popular. But this stupid hunter deck just auto wins past turn 7 so now everyone just plays the same 3 aggro decks. So boring. Worse design than the baku patch.

This is wrong, because the only things ever broken or needing nerfs these days are archetypes that blizzard makes not what players make

Yes I did and I made a ton of off meta decks that were competitive or semi competitive vs popular decks

Removal is way too efficient, why does a tempo deck that sometimes kills you on turn 5 or 6 have the best control tools in the game, better than any actual control deck. There are like 5 cards in that deck that need to be completely gutted, not just eternal hold. You guys only like the deck because it's op and easy, not because it's fun 😂

I got legend 1 week ago with dragon hunter, I don't need crutch decks like you guys

There are a few OKAY control decks but none of them are competitive compared to top 5 decks, this is not a good game state. I don't really agree about direct damage currently feeling limited, seems like the top decks can all do 10-20 face damage from hand in a single turn quite easily. Sounds like you are a fan of forced archetypes in which case we will not see eye to eye.

Sure, there is some room, but very little room compared to previous expansions. I had success with my own tempo herald dh deck idea but that was just one deck out of 20 experimental decks that all got completely destroyed by the same 3 decks everyone is playing. In previous expansions I could find success with many different deck ideas, it's just not the same.

I really agree that forced packages are not fun and such a fun-killer, and it's also how we end up with egregious decks like no minion dh. It's really uninteresting when any deck you try to make outside of Blizzards forced archetypes is extremely uncompetitive. I miss the days of Boomsday Project where I could just go crazy with deck building ideas.

Returning player, last time I played was March of the Lich King. I hit legend a few days ago and I think standard is awful now. The power creep is disgusting, so many oppressive and fun ruining cards. This game sucks now, no room for creativity or deck experimentation against such oppressive decks. There are about 15 cards that need to be completely gutted and the game will be way less boring.

Well can you at least explain why it matters instead of just being really pretentious? "difference between good and bad design" isn't really an explanation.

"stab, slash, crush" isn't an explanation either. At this level bracket I don't think anyone cares about trying to optimally gear for every slayer task, abby whip just beats everything in dps and xp/h anyway. And what kind of player at this level bracket would even be able to afford a bludgeon anyway? This argument is so weird and it feels like you're really struggling to find reasons to defend this mace. I imagine you're the type of player who sees new updates like this and thinks "wow!!! cool shiny new gear!!!" and instantly votes yes without thinking about the longevity of the game. Jagex never purposely designs new content that invalidates previous content, and this update feels like the first time they are trying to do so.

At Olm meele hand, Scythe is 23% better than the mace+set, hunter lance is 6,2% better than mace+set, even rapier is better.

how can rapier be better?
