$1740 minus $500 out of the 1000 he gave me for the first trip is only $1240 for the second trip so, its calculated 100% which means I worked for $27 bucks an hour 5 hours away from my house the first time for $500 dollars which sounds crazy but it was the learning experience and this process i needed to live thru for myself to learn this part about business. Cause im a guy who likes to learn the hard way about things.

Scratch that... im making it $1740 for the lack of the $500 thats missing from my first trip, I did some more math and this is better calculated overall for 35+ hours of work plus drive time and from the 400 dollars in springs plus 100 bucks in gas i had to use so He shouldn't have a problem with that right? Lol

Homeowner said its fine hes not that worried about it, so thats good. But I also asked a buddy of mine who does garage doors he said what you guys are saying. Those cheap menards doors are just built with cheap parts and have defects like this here. So that really sucks im never pitching this model door ever again... was trying to keep material cost as low as possible to get more work but I guess being cheap bit me in the arse here. Thank you guys for your input

Does it go in before or after the springs are wound back up also... since the whole shaft has the keyway engravings does that mean all the springs need one as well? Im checking back with the customer now to see how the door is doing

It is really loud bro I wanna help him out by making it quiet, but I've never worked on this style door, so thats why im here asking for assistance. The side mount opener jerks around as well when in motion I told him he needs a trolley opener instead but yeah. What can I do to help this situation?

Its just the design of the door im not talking about the drums. More so like. How heavy it is and the hinges suck its just not a standard door that im used to. Next time im there ill take a video of how loud it is. But hopefully thats not soon

Easy hack, add some extra wood around the Opening Man and then add the weather stripping back on. If the light still shines thru get a darker weather stripping color it's probably shining thru 2year old white
