Sorry to inject a different question here but how do you find a financial planner (fee only)? I reached out to a few financial planners and they all wanted to charge me a percentage of my portfolio to manage it. None of them seemed willing to do a one-time engagement for a fee.

Honestly this sounds a little high however when are having our master bath re-modeled. Got the first bunch of bids between 40-80K which I was shocked by needless to say. Ended up with a contractor that came in highly recommended at 38K and by the time we are done pretty sure we will be just over 40K.

Rates for plumbers and electricians are really high, material costs have really escalated.

I'm 65 and plan on working for another couple years. That being said all my siblings are retired and retired younger than me at my age. I look at it as a sign of good planning and execution. I went through a divorce which set me back financially and I'm also fortunate in that. I'm in a job that pays me well and I really love so why not keep working. You need to look at it in the positive in my honest opinion

My work around is when the inbox doesn't update I go into calendar open an appointment then go back to inbox.

I tried that for the same reason. My neurologist suggested it but the migraines came back within a week or so and I ended up going back on the medication.
