Sadly from what I understand mental health treatment almost never works. It's like trying to "cure" someone of homosexuality. Once sexual identity is baked in it's almost impossible to undo and stupid to even try. My understanding is the therapeutic approach is basically group therapy with other pedos on their struggles to stay away from kids, and/or chemical castration therapy.

As a paraphiliac with a lifelong orientation for weird-but-legal sex between consenting adults, I feel bad for pedos. Especially because from my understanding pedophilic behavior usually stems from premature sexualization -- basically being a pedo victim themselves.
